Did Srilata and Satish Yanger attend the funeral? Never seen them even

Her only sister Srilatha, husband and former MLA Sanjay Ramaswamy and daughter attended. They are seen in all the pictures - in the family group pic where Sridevi is draped in national flag and also they were seen standing near Boney on the vehicle en route to cremation ground.

Satish (from dad's first marriage) and Suryakala (from mom's first marriage) are half siblings of Sridevi. Suryakala attended along with actress daughter Maheshwari - she was close to them. Never heard of Satish in recent years, don't think she had maintained contact with him. She seemed closer to mom's side of family...

The last picture she had posted on Instagram was with her sister Srilatha, niece, sister's husband, half sister with daughter Maheshwari etc who attended the wedding in UAE.

Was both of her parents married twice? I didn't know that, I thought she only have one sister that took all her property after her mom passed away, does she also have half sister as well? And how Maheshwari is related to her?

Yes, they had a love marriage. Her mom (Telugu lady from Tirupati who moved to her hisband's workplace in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu and was living with husband and daughter Suryakala) wanted divorce and approached Ayyappan (Sri's dad, Tamilian) who was a lawyer. The divorce came through, but they fell in love and decided to get married. Only hitch was Ayyappan was already married with a son(Satish). He convinced his first wife and married Sri's mom, without divorcing his first wife. They had two daughters together - Sridevi and Srilatha. When Sridevi clicked in films as a child artiste, they moved from Sivakasi to Chennai. Suryakala was raised by Sri's maternal grandparents in Tirupati and Maheshwari is Suryakala's daughter. (Elder half sister's daughter, so Sri's niece).

This is well documented in South Indian media circles at that time- where Sri was a huge star in all 4 South Indian languages. Sri's dad contested for elections from Sivakasi (& lost) and hence his personal life was out in the open.

I remember hearing about another brother Anand who used to accompany her to shooting

Yes, That's what they told when Maheswari came to movies. Rajeswari sister's daughter. But when maheswari retired from movies and started designing cloths she started calling Sri as my aunt . Once after Sri died There was a news in telugu media that Suryakala is her half sister and even her dad was a Telugu guy who migrated to chennai long time ago and not a Tamil Brahmin as every body thought because of the Iyyer name , that's why he lost his MLA elections in Tamilnadu.

Now I have a question, if Suryakala was her half sister why did not she get her share when her mom died just like Srilatha?

After their mother, late Rajeswari Ayyappan, died in '96, the star's family won a Rs. 7.10 crore compensation suit against a US hospital for wrong treatment. Sridevi's sister, Srilatha Sanjay Ramaswamy had then taken the family to court to settle the dispute over sharing of the compensation and other property.

On Monday, the tangle was sorted out as the family members entered into a compromise. Srilatha now gets Rs. 2 crores, and another claimant, Suryakala takes Rs. 50 lakh. No prizes to guess who took the rest of the money home. Mrs. Kapoor not just won a few crores, but also a share of prime properties in Chennai and its suburbs and in Mumbai.

So why Maheshwari decided to reveal the truth later?

Oh she too got the money , so she was her half sister. Hmm why did they equal share. Until now I thought Srilatha was wrong to file case against Sri to get the properties which were bought with Sri's money . If it her mother's sugery related money why not? Why Sri did not want to share it with her sisters?
