Thank you for this post because I have been saying the same thing. What would be so wrong in showing Mitali having feelings for Neil? Its been ten years, anyone would fall in love with Neil that does not mean he will reciprocate those feelings nor does it make her a bad person for feeling the way does. Lets say she turns grey shaded because she feels angry that Neil would still be in love with a woman who brought him so much pain, is that really wrong of her? No one knows why Avni faked her death, they have their suspicions about Vidyut's involvement but what could really be so big that she would take such a step? Avni is obviously not going to reveal the truth so is anyone going to really be to blame for where they stand? Like you I do believe Mitali will end up bringing Neil and Avni closer unintentionally and maybe when she learns the truth she will back off, she will see whatever Avni did was because she was helpless and not because she was selfish. I see the potential this story holds, it does not always have to be a case of repetitive and cliched. I find this to be realistic and gives Avni and Neil more reasons to be forced to work through their problems instead of walking away from each other completely.
