A lot of the same people are writing good things about Sridevi today and wishing her peace. So my question is why couldn't we be at least half nice to her when she was alive.

We never know which one of the celebs we bash may be next to pass away. Why can't we be slightly more kind and considerate?

Firstly, it is Basic human decency to wish Peace n focus on the Positive things of a departed soul.

But does Death change the opinion about any particular aspect of a person? NO.

I still stick to watever i said a day back that what she n Bonny did to her friend Mona Shourie n her kids was wrong. Death will not change Facts.

Yes, she is a Great actress n its a Huge loss to the Industry which is why people are praising her PROFESSIONAL Life. Nobody is praising her for her Personal life. There is difference between the two.

Yes, we do tend to be harsh to celebs. But hey, we are just a bunch of gossipers. It is not as if the Celebs read wat we are posting here. As long as we dont tag n abuse them in SM platforms, it shud be fine.

And make no mistake of it - these people are all lurking in the real world too. They just hide their psycho beliefs when there are consequences while online they can get away with saying and doing anything.

They are not fans of Sridevi or anyone. They exist to bash celebs and can even use someone's death as opportunity.

I saw some tweet telling SKR that Sridevi is a legend and this is a quick way to become legend coz his movies won't make 100 Cr.

I don't know if SRK has said somewhere that he wants to be remembered as legend

And I saw another predicting Jhanvi's movie will be hit coz of sympathy now

People need to realize that celebrities are human beings just like us. They are public figures but not public property. If they choose to be a celebrity, that does not give anyone the right to be so judgmental and bash them for every little thing.

We I-Frians are not bad yaar! We might be very childish for fun sometime but but we are very sensible on these kind of things. I don't think we will ever judge or laugh at someone's demise or someone miserable life even tho its a celebrety!

Atleast we are not that bitter like Twitter-FB and IG!

If Dharmendra dies will we be forced to overlook there are two widows and not mention it ? I will still feel sad for his family. I do not know him that well as an actor to miss that part of him.
If Harvey Weinstein dies he has two small kids. I will feel sad for them because a loss of a father is still a loss at any age. But I will feel happy too for he is a monster IMO. I will also feel grateful for his championing indie movies.

Gemini Ganesan. Horrible monster of a human being as a father and husband. You can directly lay the blame for Rekha's life on him. Yet a good actor.

I still listen to Micheal Jackson yet repulsed by his alleged actions.

Death does not whitewash their actions or does their talent cease to exist because we discover their faults, some of which are monstrous.

How should we respond towards a Papon for instance ? I try to respond according to what is alleged while I enjoy their talent. I am not going to boycott anyone like Woody for instance. Their art and actions stand apart for me. I will love their art while condemning their actions. If I have enjoyed their art enough, I will cry for them.

Yes. Social Media, in my opinion, has become more of a bane than a boon.
Under the guise of anonymity, people say the worst things.

About writing letters or emails, my mom used to tell me, "Don't write something that you will never have the courage to say so in person". I have "tried" to follow my mom's advice. I've been successful sometimes and have stopped myself from writing things which I would not be able to say if that person were in front of me. Ofcourse, there are occasions when I've failed too and have regretted and have felt embarrassed. It's a learning process. Nevertheless, better something than nothing.
