that social media like twitter and FB has given voice to almost everyone..every tom dick and harry can say whatever they want to say..

now this is a double edge sword

it is a good thing that one can let out their feelings instead of doing something in real...many possible warriors and conquerors and future rulers are sitting on their computer...lying in their bed with keyboard sitting on their belly and tea and biscuit on the side and tv running in front.

however other edge is that stupid things get hyped up...then fake trends are there too..recently many twitter accounts were banned in US who were supporting a certain candidate here and those were acting as white son of soils of US from south but in the end it was some russian sitting outside the US tweeting and influencing

let me link it to BW

Sridevi passed and we are seeing all sorts of people saying stupid things...they may be fair points like pressure on women to look good and be slim..fine..but is this the right time? blaming family members...

So today I have mixed feelings about this social media...sometimes i feel it is also acting as a tool to spread wrong information and even hate ...who knows who is controlling what

this was thought of the sunday from Hippo.

I think people should be put before their responsabilities. Saying horrid stuff isn't acceptable.
People should have one id to create FB, Twitter, Insta, mail... accounts on the internet.

For instance, how many people are regretting on this very forum having been harsh on Sridevi only days ago because of her surgeries and stuff at Mohit's wedding? Now, they can only regret what they wrote but it's there and they've said it.
Mocking someone about their physic and stuff isn't done. One can criticize without being mean imo. Always think that the person can very much die tomorrow or one hour afterward...

In life we are faced with this situation that we are against someone and then unfortunate thing happens and he or she passes away leaving us to feel guilty...and sing "na jaane kyn...hota hai yeh har kisi ka saatha...achanak yeh mann..kisi ke jaaney ka baad..kare us ki yaad..chohti chohti se baat"

I DONT blame these people as no one does this with keeping possible death in mind..so we cannot blame people criticizing her yesterday

however once someone is gone..i think we should wait a little before raising some point.

this is where this social media is giving needless attention to even stupid people. bakwas things goign viral

but then again someone will say why are people watching it

i guess no answee

i do follow zaandu advice...but have taken to extreme..i dont even go there lol

in a nutshell few vellas does vellagiri on sn..
steps in media..becomes breaking news..
now debate rages..next enters the logicians
n the stubborn ..subject matter remains far from
being discussed..all irrelevant discussions takes
center stage ..the greater the ego..the longer the abusive tweets..
so my personal opinion is avoid sn ..if u are not seeking
validation of ur opinions.

I agree, social media has become too negative, too harsh.. TBH, it makes me scared of the world.. human is still capable of so much negativity/harshness, it is scary.

Even those who fight for good cause, are always teeming with so much anger and aggressively put others down by being very critical. I have never imagined these traits exist even today.. We can always communicate cordially - but that rarely happens. It's a very harsh world. I believe everyone of us is good, we all want love or atleast a pleasant interaction with fellow human - so why do we give others negativity?

And, people do forget that celebs are humans like us. EVERY human has flaws, degree varies.. TOO much criticism, too much impropriety, too much insensitivity in the name of sensitivity... but isn't there a better way of getting better as a society - together, without ganging up on them? This way we only create fear in one another, and other complexes in each other, because there's always that judgemental eye. Being judgemental isn't wrong, it's natural - but it is the uncaring, the negativity meted out along with it that is harsh.. IDK if the ideal I have in my mind is possible to implement in reality, but somehow, it is all still sad.. Maybe it's my own fault .

I am not on any social media except pinterest and IF. Even on IF, I avoid clicking on many threads just by reading the title.. I come here obviously because it's one of my little escapes from my own world, but here also, sometimes when I unfortunately come across something that is sad, I feel I should never open any social media or newspaper.

Well after sridevi's sudden demise, i feel sad and i also feel ashamed for judging or criticising any celeb on this forum, based on their looks, or relationships or mistakes. I mean who are we to judge? I had already reduced coming to this place becoz i thought that people here become too judgemental and harsh on celebrities, but celebs are also human beings like us, they make mistakes too. So iam not gonna get involved in judging someone, unless someone is a criminal ofcourse.
