Week in Review: KKT v/s KRR

So I feel the need to make this thread cuz there was a lot to take in during the course of this week...well, the first four epis atleast...might as well write off the one from today😆

But in particular, I was struck by the thought that the writers and SC managed to achieve something truly unique this time...they already have a well established and immensely loved character with her own funky language and mannerisms i.e. Anika...and they STILL managed to...in merely FOUR episodes, craft a whole new persona with her own funky language and mannerisms to boot in the form of Kumari Rosie Rani...that is no small feat.

This track clearly has parallels to the ML track where Anika took on the persona of Kumari Kalavati Thakur...but there are significant differences too.

1) KKT was never about an extreme wardrobe and mannerisms change...she was simply Anika being flaky and difficult...while KRR is a whole another level of persona with detailing in catchphrases, an outrageous look...that choti in particular...a risky move that could have fallen flat...but SC has aced this whole persona and managed to sell such an insane look too...kudos once again.

2) KKT had her NAAGIN dance😆 while KRR got her Sweety tera Drama and that random promotional vid, or whatever that was😆

v/s

3) KKT never amounted to more than denying the usual Anika catchphrases like raita phail gaya, khidkitod etc...while KRR REVELS in having added a whole new set of catchphrases to her dictionary...and I was really struck by the fact that a specific accent from a specific region alone doesn't make a character hit...it's how the actor in question delivers it...and SC has taken the hybrid Bhojpuri/English to a whole another level of epicness...lol

v/s

4) The KKT/ML track in itself wandered aimlessly all over the place...lol for a few days, Anika held on to the KKT persona, then that randomly faded away in the farak padta hai etc. drama...while this KRR track so far has a more cohesive upfront plan in terms of defining her getup and persona and how it ties into the story

5) The KKT track happened at a time when Shivika were still finding their way towards defining their relationship and accepting their feelings...now they are a solid unit working together...one has to marvel at what a long way they've come...Shivaay still struggles with sharing things with her cuz he wants to protect her/handle things on his own but this is the same guy who now is entrusting that equal responsibility on her in taking this on, relying on her all the way even as he worries about her safety...that's progress.

Who knows where this track will go next week and how long the getup will continue but as of now it's deffo brought a distinct flavor to the show since KRR basically effortlessly owns any scene she gets😆😆...and the first four epis of the week were a great balance in terms of balancing her OTT antics as well as the emotional family bonding moments with the Obros.

I agree with everything you said
It is great to see the way Shivaay is now giving her the responsibility too and having faith in her capabilities too she is now equal in terms of taking family ko bachane kI responsibility too and the progress in their journey really helped. Back in kkt days anika was still at times not sure about her own standing which ended up being really confusing for us to watch too here it works

Really kuddos to SC for doing a brilliant job and making her place as KRR in our hearts have onky heard unanimous praise from all circles only for Rosie

And this isn't an easyfeat to sell this kinda character esp when SC is stepping into shoes of Rosie while being anika as anika is so loved so when aise characters ka aisa koi version aata hai it becomes even harder to sell but SC is killing it with the variation she brings and making this so loveable too

I also enjoy how KRR is total bindaas moonhfut while with KKT they tried to go with coy ae ji oh ji type version of a bahu lol

Baaki will think and come these ate just quick thoughts before I sleep

In the first four epis KRR definitely stole the show..and full credit goes to SC for making such an avataar super hit and her dialogues delivery was phenomenal...this week belongs to SC
KTT is an epic and unique character..be it costumes dialogues style 😆 and not to forget her chotiya...
SC has aced this whole persona and managed to sell such an insane look too...kudos once again. ... yes what she did as KRR is remarkable ..ek level up..
Never thought we would get such a twist after the gunshot...
And ML track and KKT is one of my favorite , in terms of shivika's moments..and not to forget that epic seq where Annika thought ke woh banj hai lol..
Now let's see what's next..hope cvs surprise us once again but pleasantly 😆

Very interesting comparisons b/w the two. Its funny how people including me were thinking that we are gonna get a ML track reboot with KRR but it turned out to be quite different actually.
This time we know its a plan, Shivika are a much stronger unit and ofcourse KRR is a pataka 😆

SC & the team has truly managed to make a memorable character out of KRR :)

Truth be i love this KRR a lot, and hats off to SC to carry and portray this character so beautifully and realistically. if we consider she perhaps didnt have long to get that walking style, talking style etc... yet she was brilliant in this.
Posting some of my favorites scenes from this week😆

and when she ran away😆

and whenever her chotti hit SSO😆

and best whenever she tried to irritate SSO😆

and her walking style😆

so many perfect scenes of KRR but too many to gifs😆

Thank you for such a lovely post AY😳

A very interesting comparison post ...
I was upset about the look first but when I saw the Monday episode, I was blown away..
Such a great performance by SC that I started loving Kumari Rosie Rani more and more and watch her scenes on repeat mode ..
Also the way she walks, talks and speaks.. awesome work even when she wasn't well.

Great job this by SC and the team behind the look and dialogues as well..

Awesome post 😊
When I first saw the picture of Ani's new look it was like falling off the bed kind of twist as SC described it , had my reservations but knew SC would ace it like a pro 👏 Saw a tweet by Asjad Nazir about actors who don't care about how cool and good they look onscreen while enacting their onscreen characters have become so successful in their career ( not exact words) , and how true it is, I would rather like her to be KRR than being part of a girl a gang and lose her identity!

And as for Anika who is putting her life at risk time and time again for the sake of various missions be it KKT, KRR, Zubaida begum Khan or in Bebe getup in Bairely, that's what the girl do for her family and then people ask what did Anika do for the Oberoi family so far !!!!!😲
In the IB timeline how much time did she get to be KRR , less than few hours and she came up with a character with so much contrast to Anika in terms look, talk and walk 😆 That's versatility of Anika as well as SC ❤️

Exactly...there were lots of confusions swirling during that track...lol we hadn't yet gotten used to the level of nautanki and acting Shivika are capable of for executing their plans or that everything always turns out to be a plan in the end😆😆

Now that we are aware of that the fact that the writers will always go with that only, becomes easier to digest the flips😆

Anika was literally using the KKT track to get Shivaay to admit/acknowledge her standing in his life...lol...even as they were supposedly busy doing drama in their room for the sake of Svet and Tia.

But in this KRR track, Rojie Rani is ekdum MAST doing drama just for FUN😆

LOL at the time I was quite frustrated with the ML track despite some good scenes cuz there was so much confusion about what's real and what's not...but this time I'm better prepared for the twists from the writers😆

That baanjh sequence was epicly hilarious for their nautanki...Shivaay's freaked out expressions over Anika's nautanki and the names she'd thought up for their kids...hahahaha
