Also add Siddharth's character from Rang De Basanti to the list who had a massive liking for Soha's character. It was so beautifully handled later in the film where he kills his own father for being involved in the scam that took away Madhavan's life not just because he was Sid's friend but also because he was Soha's fiance.
Oh yes yes yes. That one is my absolute favorite.
All of it is so subtle. Him coming on time for the first rehearsals, his dismay in tu bin bataye while everyone else is celebrating, the immediately reaching out for a hug in the hospital when Waheeda Rehman slips into a coma - you blink, and you will miss it, yet it's all right there.
No one needs to point out, or speak the words.
