The Fantastic 4 continue their clever mission, blissfully unaware that Veer's true mark is Annika. He has no interest in the Oberois. If at all it is a war of egos for him, to be defeated is reason enough to ruin someone. Proof of his incompetence.
I don't believe he has lost interest in Annika. She may be something of an interesting conundrum to him. She is completely unafraid of him, and he's used to women cowering in his presence. She dares, and that attracts him a lot. If there was more time and a forgiving rating system, I dare say Veer is on his way to falling in love also. But that may not be where the onscreen story is taking us.
Annika continues her OTT get-up of Kumari Rosie Rani, the moments she is alone or with Om, she is almost normal and sensible. But she senses her husband is wired up and tense, she often does crazy antics just to loosen him up a little, hence the mad OTT gimmicks that are annoying him a lot at present. It was meant to make him relax and smile, but somehow this time he's getting more tense and irritable, going as far as compromising their mission with their squabbles.
It is usually a battle he would rather do head to head alone with the enemy.

But he promised he wouldn't fight alone, so he depends on his family , at least he tries to. WHen he decides/ realizes that eventually the fight is a One on One kind, that's what it will be.
Annika bravely lures a curious Veer into making a pact with her. But it looked like he'd spotted someone familiar in Rudra, giving away free cotton candy to trouble making kids in the marketplace. And being slapped in the face yet again, by another version of Annika, can't be something a supposedly clever person like Veer can forget.
He looked somewhat amused or playing along to her elaborate scheme of a "link up". He looked like he was admiring Annika, for the spunky spitfire she was being doing all this to hoodwink him.
That gave me the creeps really.
How easily he accepted her hand to link up in creating troubles for the Oberois. Knowing how big his plot is with Svetlana and Saumya (whether or not she is the "Oberoi" traitor we have to see) he wouldn't risk it all to a two bit jewel thief with weird mannerisms, would he?
The Oberois are quickly happy that their scheme worked, Shivaay especially a tad overconfident. She was asked to endanger the lives of the OBros, while they danced at Rudra's Sangeet.
The eagerness of a jewel thief, supposedly out for her own gain, to do his bidding itself is suspect. And when the plan fails, it is even more confirmatory.
I feel they are all walking into a trap.
Saumya has no ties to Veer, she's not even fond of him, neither does she depend on him. She's getting angry that her cause hasn't advanced at all, in fact Rudra is even closer to marrying someone else. She's losing it, and I get the feeling Veer is going to throw her under the bus, like he did Svetlana in Goa.
While Shivaay and OmRu and others are distracted with Saumya being the hidden Oberoi (my suspicion entirely, until proven otherwise) , Veer gets to his target: Annika.
Of course I can be completely wrong.
