Ratan's reaction to his marriage

I think Ratan's reaction to his marriage has 2 extremes. Considering his age, he doesn't know how to handle his marriage. Initially, he did everything to reject his marriage. When he realised how immaturely and insensitively he was acting and accepted his marriage, he's doing everything to be a perfect husband by following a manual, resulting in the somewhat insincere sindoor scene yesterday. I call it somewhat insincere due to the mixed feelings about his action. He did that to make Diya happy and be a perfect husband. But he did it without understanding what it meant to Diya and his marriage.

I think it's all about moderation. Prioritising your partner's likes, dislikes and wishes but not totally compromising your own. He'll learn that soon as his characterisation and marriage progresses and he becomes more mature. Ratan can't automatically become a 'perfect husband' from someone who doesn't fully understand what a marriage is and what it constitutes.

What do you all think?

Truth is no one knows what a marriage is until you experience it on your own...each marriage is different. We will learn to live with all the flaws and imperfections gradually..and compromising things won't sound like a sacrifice anymore. It will be a choice which we do happily without even having second thoughts. And a marriage like this will take a long time to get into that comfort zone. They don't know the mess they are in...both of them need to try to understand each other rather than stressing over to follow rules to make eachother happy.
Did i sound like a philosopher saying all that..😛

Totally agreed! If you meant being such a wise person by using the term philosopher, you are definitely one! 👍🏼

Diya being a mature person has somewhat accepted this marriage and is putting sincerer effort to make Ratan comfortable in marriage where as Ratan being immature is yet to come in terms with this marriage and one could see that he is putting in effort but halfheartedly .

What makes DiRa couple most interesting is they know each other well. Thats why when Ratan putted sindoor in her mang she became happy but at the same time she also understood that he did it only to make her happy not because he actually wanted to do. But believe this feeling is also very great. Even in real life if someone does something for you just because you like, it would make you feel good though you know that person really doesn't like it. When I saw the " sindoor in maang " scene it felt to me that Ratan and Diya is doing all the things because actually they are still friends and care for each other a lot.
