Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singhs daughter, Sara Ali Khans debut film, Kedarnath, hangs on a thread following Gattu aka filmmaker,Abhishek Kapoor ,and producer, Prernaa Arora, of KriArj Entertainment parting ways . The director's decision to put an end to the agreement with KriArj Entertainment has stalled the film indefinitely. While both the parties have taken a legal recourse, Amrita Singh is worried about her daughter's career. She is reportedly very disappointed with Kapoor for his impetuous behaviour.
DNA quoted a source in the know of the development as saying, "When Gattu called Dingy (Amrita) to tell her about his decision to fly solo with Kedarnath and only getting a big studio on board for the release, Amrita completely lost her cool with him. A heated argument took place between the two. Well, we don't blame Amrita for being anxious as Sara's debut film was perhaps one of the most anticipated films of the year. The fight between the makers of Kedarnath has definitely put Sara's career on hold. And it is indeed sad to see that a film that had immense potential to perform well at the Box Office, finds itself stuck with uncertainty looming over its head.
Amrita Singh and Sara, have meanwhile, not given out a statement yet. Rumors of a rift between the filmmaker and producer had been going around for a while, but things worsened after it was pitted against Shah Rukh Khan's Zero at the box office. Prernaa was always in favour of pushing the release date of Kedarnath to a later date to avoid the clash, where as Kapoor was insistent on releasing the film on December 21, 2018, the same day as Zero. However, what pushed matters to a point of no return was when Kapoor took to Twitter to announce Kedarnath's release date without consulting Prernaa.
