If the grownup Avni still needs to turn herself into a 12 year old Avni to make every life decision, then i dont know what kind of character growth they have achieved so far. During DM track I can understand because that's the age she got shot and everything started. The current track has nothing to do with her childhood trauma, so why bring the little Avni into the equation. This just goes to show that no matter how stable a family and a strong supportive husband she has, at the slightest sign of tough time she's going to go back to where she started.
Overcoming your childhood fears is not easy and can be very difficult, I definitely agree with that. What I don't agree is someone refusing to move past their traumas and still being held by the shackles of the past. If they are going to keep showing Avni always relating everything to her past and making decisions based on that, then it's like she's holding Neil back too from living a life. Just my opinion...
