From when Ratan was concerned about his family reputation? I have never seen him. Have you guys ever?

Lol...to your question, NO! 😆.. but he has always been shown as a person who values the traditions and i think he does care for the family's izzat.

Remember, only he knows KM's truth and he hid it to safeguard her izzat.

Then on the coronation and in the fake affair rasams time when he had to carry Diya to the mandir- on those occassions he was shown as a person who superficially says that i dont care about these traditions, but deep down he does. He is a very proud Raja Rajput ( he mentioned this somewhere in the beginning) and he has been depicted as someone who does value the traditions and family.

Then comes his own wedding. He married Diya because of his late father's wish.. (kaash na kerte!!) But this shows that he valued these kind of sentiments.

In Diya's case, all in all he was trying to protect her izzat by marrying the jilted bride. Woh tou since he is a jerk, tou baad mien he ruined everything and now everyone thinks ke aisi izzat rakhnay se tou accha tha ke Daata Hukum uss waqt shadi hi na kerte! 😛

Baqi Family ki izzat ka KM wali baat ke ilawah abh tak as such koi khaas moqa hi nahi aya tha.. 😆 Abh bhi i think he is deep down worried that Diya ki beizzaty na hojaye..He did say today that anyway, diya hain tou mery wife hi.

Writers have lost their marbles. They are still searching... for a new story 😆

I am waiting to see how long people will try to justify the writing before they give up and start cussing the cvs.

Dear, no one is justifying the writing. On the contrary, the PH has been spammed by feedback over feedback over the writing and how the characterisations are being ruined. The PH just chooses not to listen! 😆

i don't think there has ever come a situation where that would have gotten judged. He does bother about impression in general though. And even when he counters the rituals in the beginning, he doesnt take to long to get convinced to do them and when he doesn't them he tries to stay true to them.

i always see him as someone who portrays he is way too modern than he really is. Or put differently, even when his thoughts are mostly modern, he is still pretty much embedded in the traditions and belief around keeping the word/ rajput's promise etc. lets not forget that this is the same guy who after returning home for the firs time stopped by the small temple to pray.

Lol... I did not know that. Was shocked to see the slot changed from 9 to 8 pm. That means there is going to be no writing. Only drama.

I have given up super fast. I am not a hardcore fan of any of the actors and even when I am, I generally do not believe in defending anything for the sake of loyalty. 😃

I guess I have posted on a lot of threads that I am not defending or attacking characters of Ratan and Diya (or related actors who are doing a really good job in spite of the mess which writing has become), because it is not a clear and linear way in which characters are developed.

If you wish to rationalize, everything can be rationalized. But I can see downward spiral in writing and have sort of given up. :-D

I end up here for the fun of chatting with the folks here. Some super nice folks are here and they are worth the time.

Same here. Bakwas kerne ke liye topic chahiye nahi to kabka chod deti parul ko.

And here people always listen whatever others are saying. If in future, people becomes non active here than I would stop chatting here.

But against all odds , mene than le hai end tak dekhungi ki kya hota hai

In many serial guys falls in love or marries older girls but no one marries his bodyguard. 😆 It made it different.
