Bollywood who is always welcomed back
with every 'comeback' she makes. The actor
last starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan,
Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in Rohit
Shetty's Dilwale.
"I've had so many of these comebacks', I'm
now like the comeback queen'! I am like a
bad penny, I just keep coming back," Kajol
quipped to a leading daily.
Kajol has started shooting for her next Eela,
which is being helmed by Pradeep Sarkar
and produced by Ajay Devgn. Eela is an
adaptation of Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play,
Beta Kaagdo. In the movie, Kajol will be seen
playing the role of a single parent and the
story will revolve around the relationship
shared by a mother and son.
Talking about Eela, Kajol said, "I liked the
script honestly, liked the lines, everything. I
like my character of Ela (a single mother), I
identify with many of her things."
Kajol will be getting her own wax statue at
Madame Tussauds, Singapore soon and
when asked about Ajay and their children's
(Nysa Devgn and Yug Devgn) reaction to it,
Kajol revealed to the daily, "Being happy and
proud is everyone's general reaction. But I
haven't been really able to explain it to Yug
(since he's too small). I've just told him
There's this thing of me in Singapore'. His
only question was That's cool! Are we going
to Singapore?"
Speaking of Eela, Pradeep said to a leading
tabloid, "I was offered the script around
four months ago. It took me a while to
understand the Gujarati tone but eventually,
I fell in love with this extremely emotional
story which boasts of some really strong
characters and there's a chance of people
getting really close to them."
"I am getting involved in the dialogue and
character-building as there are a few
insights that I want to incorporate to make
the film more endearing. This is not like
Parineeta, where everything was detailed,
this is more free-flowing, a character and
music driven film," the filmmaker continued.
