EDT~ ep. 80~9.2.18 My stance. About losing loved ones.
Hardly any human escapes the loss of a loved one, or the birth of a loved one. Both situations are personal and often have a throw back upon one's own experiences. However out of the two , losing a close one is seen as quite a challenge to overcome. How a person deals with grief depends very much on the type of person one is. But facing grief takes into account the amount of time an individual needs to pull oneself out of bereavement, as it varies from person to person. Mind you, losing someone close does not necessarily mean losing someone to death alone. One can lose someone close, due to circumstances, misunderstandings too. In any case it spells out separation from a loved one which may be temporary or permanent.
The episode opens with a poignant scene, which speaks of another's loss, yet universally most can identify with the gutted emotions of the mourner. To me, Shiv's eventual departure from the land of the living , sounds off in the episode. There seems to be a preparation of Sharanya's emotional statement when it actually happens. Shiv helps her to see the reality of their present interaction.. alas! Almost reliving their past, simply blissful, yet only temporary. The episode suggests , it's in Sharanya's hands to revive the past ,even after Shiv leaves. But I find him clear, not mincing his words, that one day ,as much as his soul revolts, both Sharanya and him have to abide by the worlds they are meant to be in..
The horror of losing Shiv, is unreal. Sharanya too like any other person is unwilling to see her loved one drift away out of her grasp. Suddenly ,she weakens, feels robbed off her strong points of stubborn determination. Experiences a disability of dealing with life on her own, without Shiv's strong presence. Like most people, she too gives reminders to Shiv , about his past promise of standing by her, never leaving her. Yet here under her very eyes! Shiv fast abandons her. Many humans believe , that being with their loved one, while they slip away, often by conveying their love, many a harsh cold hand of death can be wavered off from the head of their loved ones. The scene shows that power, in sharanya's weeping..Where ever her tear drops fell on his ice frigid body, the part rejuvenates and rebuilds itself.. Till Shiv for the second time running returns to her! He smiles, it s called the power of her love. Pure almost devotional love which breathes life as it were, into Shiv's body and soul..
Past memory makes her smile, to the clatter of his practice drum session, she recites his verses on the power of love.. at every thought of his she had smiled, his verses were meant to express his love to her. She shyly ,silently had responded to his heart felt pleas. Shiv had smiled too..yes love does find a way to express its power! As for now, the fear of losing him yet again plagues her! she could have lost Shiv again to the hungry blazing flames! He smiles but this time it didn't.. Sharanya fails to figure out the effect of fire on Shiv. Shiv reckons might be the reaction of two elements against each other.. he was a product buried in snow..sub zero temperature as opposed to the boiling point of heat! Their present interaction thus defies nature.. dead or alive! Still love finds a way! for weak or strong.. Sharanya remains Shiv's strength. He has nothing to fear not even death, he has taste it . But Sharanya still fears the loss of this union between Shiv and herself.. Shiv reminds her the power of her love, is beyond any element that can overpower him...SIGH..except the sting of death..
In fear of losing your loved one, the heart wants a vow of permanence! Sharanya assures Shiv about her permanent presence. But Shiv instead, finds it befitting to veer her to see reason. It's going to be what she'll find hard to accept, but true love is also about speaking out the harsh realities too. Shiv's realism comes across, his presence with her is temporary, he will have to leave after he ensures she is safe and danger to her person has passed. It's not easy for Sharanya to accept, which to me seems to be, some broken, moving section of his parting words!. In short Sharanya makes it hard for Shiv..like a stubborn child she refuses to let go of her beloved! An imaginary hug in space constitutes a joining of two souls offering consolation to each other... but reality as seen intercepts, as Vyom barges into the burnt out garage exercising his rights to fulfil his duty towards his careless wife, who disappears without letting him know about her whereabouts! Vyom's worry about Sharanya reflects the tone of concern Shiv would use for his Sharanya. But the repeated name of Shiv from Sharanya's mouth does rob Vyom from wedded bliss. Fear resides within him, continuously about Sharanya digging up the truth..
Vyom hugs Sharanya before Shiv. A display of boastful force, Sharanya belongs to Vyom Bedi.. over her shoulder in a embrace, he sounds off at both Sharanya and Shiv , taunts, she seeks the killer, shows concern about Shiv and sidelines him.. that he can do the impossible for her... Vyom's hug reiterates his promise. Yet for Shiv.. hear it in the space he occupies.. beware ! Sharanya belongs to Vyom Bedi.. just don't make him do what he shouldn't.. Vyom it seems, now understands that Shiv is up and about! Sharanya confirms it for Vyom..on more than one occasion ! Possessively he takes Sharanya away from Shiv.. her eyes ,throughout are only for Shiv .Vyom never featured before, not does he presently . But recalling Vyom s words, the fear of losing Shiv yet again , preoccupies her.. sadly ,Sharanya's session with Shiv ends for the moment , and resumes with Vyom...
For Sharanya ,Vyom's words about her safety hold no value before Shiv's geninue concern. Shiv cajoles her to accept Vyom's attention, rather than draw his attention to herself for pushing him away.. it 's Shiv who nods to her to take the pill Vyom offers. Sharanya does so, much against her will, as the thought of accepting a cure from Vyom, too makes her wary. It 's hypocrisy as both Shiv and Sharanya know they are curative agents for each other. Sharanya cannot resist shooting a taunt at Vyom... sugar coated poison pill... but Vyom with his forte is ten steps ahead .. retorts, bitter pill is essential to get to the root of the illness... Shiv gets wary.. he will have to check up on Sharanya , talk to her about maintaining self discipline before Vyom..
Her well being and safety, qualifies his purpose on being around her. Shiv meets her one more time,Vyom's given sleeping pill renders her groggy. But Shiv is forever cautious, reminds her of the camera eye in the room. Such irony ,Shiv and Sharanya with or without the camera, now and before have always been in the eye of the storm ,as far as the Bedi's were/are concerned..
The bathroom scene.. prompted by the need for secrecy. To talk without Vyom being a fly on the wall! the running shower.. is an act of ablution for both before offering their hearts and souls to the deities who recognize the cleanliness and transparency of their eternal bond. For Shiv it's not about rehashing bygones with Shiv's Sharanya .. its about ensuring she's safe. For that, Shiv needs to raise her awareness yet again,so she is more vigilant than before. There is no doubt Vyom knows that she remembers all about her past. what's more as of now, Vyom is also dead sure that she interacts with Shiv! Vyom is sure too, that they are looking out for evidence to nab him! Sharanya , as Shiv expects, quizzes him as to what makes him so sure? Shiv, recalls moments when he found Vyom studying her rather intensely.. as if he had something on his mind. Shiv also wants Sharanya to take seriously ,Vyom's words he uttered earlier on..to her. one look at Shiv's face she knows what he's likely to say, vacate Bedi house asap.. her life is at risk. Shranaya stares back but then Shiv knows her response only too well.. Sharanya will not budge before she finds Sharanya's Shiv's culprit! Besides what's there to fear?he's here beside her ,to protect her from all harm coming her way! Shiv's heart squeezes with anguish.. he again will have to prime her with hardcore reality.. which is ,yes true presently he can achieve extraordinary feats, like turn water into ice, slide a veil across the washing line to shield her pretty face from the glare of the sun.. but he continues with his baritone voice cracking.. Shiv cannot take the bullet that flies at her! dejected and discouraged he reasons before her, about the inadequacy of his being. But like always, this time too Sharanya's obdurate sense of justice prevails and so it 's only a bit of time she wants from Shiv..to hunt out the killer. Shiv agrees, but stipulates the time limit.. four days leading to the new moon night which will mark his last rites, which she would undertake.. and that would be his painful parting from her! Sharanya winces at Shiv's words she, as he expects rejects them! he gives her more pain than she can humanly bear! the fear of losing her loved one once more grips Sharanya.. she reacts, with her not letting him go attitude .. but Shiv leaves her to tend to some unfinished business..meanwhile sternly he serves her an ultimatum.. seek evidence ! or pack her bags..
If they assumed they were safe from Vyom's prying eye? They were wrong.. through the key hole Vyom's eye peeps, desperate to unlock the secretive verbal exchanges between Sharanya and Shiv.
Rati too understandably misses the presence of husband Vidyut. For which she hires a detective to investigate who else went into the factory warehouse. Based on his cctv findings the sleuth very nearly implicates, going by footage seems Sharanya murdered Vidyut. Oddly enough this time Rati doesn't disagree,,she muses over the thought..seems like recent incidents between Vyom and Sharanya, along with Chandni's instigation begins to take effect upon Rati ! Mind you, Rati shows good sense in involving Rajan in her investigations, something that Chandni never really wanted ,as Chandni's game is to isolate family members and kick start factions within the family. Rajan's reaction to Sharanya being Vidyut's killer is noteworthy too, he thinks the idea as outrageous, hence appeals to his SIL to avoid jumping to conclusions. Here Rajan in the main, quells the brewing storm. But for how long, will Rajan ,dodge, cover up the truth??
The fear of losing one who is alive and kicking. Madhvi, both physically and emotionally disabled, by her links to the mighty Bedi's, show's she's still unafraid to speak of the impending doom. We see, as much as she loves her only son Vyom, she still is god fearing. Questions Rajan for how long more since the past twenty years will they as his parents, continue to cover up for their son's crimes?? As sooner or later, his crimes will be exposed. She openly speaks her mind, that deep down they both know that Vyom is Vidyut s killer and not Sharanya. Madhvi in no uncertain terms warns Rajan to mend his ways, as what goes round, comes round. A person's ill deeds follow and often repeat themselves in the transgressor's life. Will Rajan pay heed to Madhvi's words or just pretend he'll take care of issues his way. After all Vyom and Rajan are one father and son very secure in each other's presence. The fear of losing one or the other,seems faint to Rajan at least. So in the long run can it be predicted that Madhvi will end up losing both her husband and son? Will she carry upon her shoulders and pay for the sins of Vyom and Rajan?.. hamlet53 10.2.18
Rather an episode, that appeals to the emotions.. highlights were Sharanya/Shiv moments.. Shiv's scenes throughout felt as if he is saying farewell.. his dialogues were simple ,sincere and substantial.. Namik, for me owned the episode.. nowhere does Shiv's character suggest that Sharanya should end her life and make their love complete in eternity.. to me he seems no home wrecker.. but that's my thoughts, not meant to upset any esteemed followers of the show. The episode reiterates, the search for justice by two women.. Sharanya and Rati.. will justice be served in due course? madhvi I find in an unfortunate situation.. recap lets Sharanya off the hook, and reveals Vidyut's murderer..
