02/08 Highlights - Avni and the Khannas are Family Goals!

I loved tonight's episode, Avni seeing the length this family can go for her and knowing her mother's wishes have been fulfilled was beautiful to see. Avni like Neil does not proof for anything in her heart she knows Neil could never be responsible for her mother's murder, when she showed her faith in Neil the family including Neil breathed a sigh of relief. I really loved the family scenes especially after DD revealed Neil is innocent, the way everyone rallied around Avni saying they would make sure the person who killed her mother is punished was too good. Prakash is a sweetheart, the father Avni always desired and she will do anything to keep this family intact!

All these unexpected kisses between Avni and Neil warm my heart, today it was Neil who was cherishing the gift Neela gave him by having him marry Avni. Avni is the most precious thing in the world for Neil, you can feel the love in their scenes.

Vidyut has lost it, now you know why he is still free despite escaping its because he messed with the ankle monitor and DD nor Neil can prove anything. Ballu seems to be going against Vidyut, he is not pleased with what Vidyut did to Ragini and the fact he wants to make Avni his after killing her mother. Will Ballu be changing sides? Will he try to help AvNeil? Time will tell.

Okay so now to something disheartening - the TRPs! I could not believe they were so low, last week was the breather fans wanted yet the TRPs were at an all time low. Let me make this clear, if this upcoming track does not bring those numbers up to 2.0 or higher expect to see this show shut down in a few months. I know Neela's death hit viewers hard, the leap has not helped in easing the fandom in believing CVs are sabatoging their show but they are not. These are CVs who have been in the industry for years, they know how this channel operates and what risks need to be taken in order to make their show survive. It is easy to desire tracks for a show but only the CVs know what can prove to be beneficial to them in the long run, after Vidyut is caught what will be left to show? There needs to be a story to carry the show forward after that, all those characters making their way after the leap including Mitali are going to be catalysts in the love story of AvNeil. It is going to be Avni and Neil's story and they are the ones who will be end game. I want to see this show last another four to six months but that cannot happen without support from fans. NK is one of the best shows I have watched, is it perfect? No but despite its flaws it works for me as a fan and I would hate to see it end prematurely like other shows have ended. You won't find leads or a supporting cast like you have in NK, you won't be able to see the growing bond of Aditi and Zain off screen if this show shuts down. All I say is keep an open mind, if the upcoming track is not to your liking as it plays out on screen I guess nothing can be done to change the mind of viewers but it really is the last chance these CVs have at saving this show.

It really is not helping matters and I hate the fact this show could meet its end so soon. It is feeling like this upcoming track will be the last for NK and that is a shame. This show deserves to last more than just a few months, yes every show has to end eventually but at least let it end when the story runs its course and not prematurely because of negativity towards a track that has yet to play out. I know for a fact this will wrap up in the next few months if those ratings don't go up and I am not ready to see this show go especially when you see the growing friendship between the leads. Show me a show where you will have a supporting cast and a married couple like AvNeil, you won't find it anywhere else. AvNeil have set the bar high and I want to see more of their story!
