I think it's a nice time to sort of step back and think about whether Sameer deserves Naina's maafi and pyaar...
In my opinion, before Sameer stepped into her house, his actions did not impress her at all. He used the same tactics as before (when he was fake-wooing her) - giving flowers, bicycle etc which looked insincere. He tried to use an easy method, which immediately failed on her. Worthy of maafi? Not really. He obviously did not understand how badly he hurt her.
After that, he exchanged money for time - spending an entire day outside her house like as a determined aashiq...it's romantic and would have definitely worked on old Naina; but it still came off as insincere to her. To her, he was simply trying to shake off his guilt and get the 3 magical words from her "I forgive you".
When he finally realised he was in love with her, he decided he wanted her to not be sad anymore. And I think that made the biggest difference; he wasn't out to earn her forgiveness or love but simply to put a smile back on her face. And I think the way he has integrated into the family really shows the effort he has put into helping her family out. If anything, Naina can follow her chachaji and realise that Sameer is truly sorry for his actions...
Pyaar? Not necessarily because he needs to woo her again haha.
Maafi? I think he deserves it! :)
