Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika in Bollywood hungama and India Today interviews have talked about some unknown feel or the divine intervention that directly ensured that this movie be made.
While talking they couldnt express but they somehow conveyed there was something that made sure this movie is made.Deepika said she felt something different shooting as it was happening automatically. It can be noted that the first schedule was being shot in rajasthan only.

If you love historical places, then visiting the forts in rajasthan is sureshot experience which has so many untold stories and experiences to feel.

Its said that the sounds of the anklets and cries of the queens is heard at night. Its haunted. straight from the place where Rani Padmavati committed jauhar along with other women. That chittor fort cries of that ultimate sacrifice.

In the link below the journalist is also telling when she is in that jauhar kund of chittor fort, she is feeling some shivers and goosebumps. She can feel something .The essence of the jauhar episode that took place in 800 years back

Well after watching padmaavat iam determined to visit chittor fort and see that jauhar kund. That journalist is visiting that place at night.God ...she is courageous. must say.
The climax scene was so much impactful, people were talking about it since release.some people even uploaded just the climax in Youtube .

I read somewhere, later kings couldnt rule that fort for long as the queens could only hear the cries , curses.

Not in Rajastan ,
But in Karnataka I have visited places with Mastikallu , they are shrines where women performed Jauhar , and now they are worshipped..

It feels slightly spooky to tell you frankly..I won't be visiting again..

There is always something in those place when many lives were lost..

In Shaniwar Wadha , in the basement , there is the ghost who was betrayed and killed and some people seem to have heard the voices..
Now they don't allow anyone in the basement

I don't know how to take these stories. There's also a belief that Shaniwar Wada is haunted and one can hear Mastani's cries at midnight. I went there once with friends but only could hear bhow bhow and meow from the strays.😆

The eeriest part of these forts I think is that you actually feel scared and eerie in the morning/afternoon while you're there inside.😕

its not mastani's ghost..
Narayan Rao Peshwa was a young kid and his uncle Raghunath Peshwa had him killed.

His cries - Kaka mala vachwa ( Uncle save me ) is heard in the basement apparently

My gosh, I am a darpok bhoot ke mamle mein. I don't think I'd ever like to visit Shaniwar Wada (my parents live in Pune).

I would love to visit Chittorgarh though.

scary

The Shaniwarwada Fort Pune

Known for its sheer architectural brilliance, this fort has witnessed various spooky occurrences. It is believed that the level of supernatural activity is on its zenith on every full moon night. The mysterious story behind the strange activities suggests that a young prince was brutally murdered here which is maybe why his spirit haunts the place and when the night falls, sounds of him shrieking can be heard. There are many locals who actually camp at night on the fort grounds just to hear the little boy's scream.
It is preferable to visit the fort during day hours since the fort is deserted at night except for maybe a caretaker. Visit this place at your own risk as this would definitely be the scariest haunted place in Pune, India.

I won't be attending anything that celebrates Jauhar in my lifetime. Jauhar was a necessity of the past. But that's where we need to leave it. The past. We need to think of more powerful ways for women to display bravery for now and the future.

Yes but jauhar kund was not that emotional or scary for me .
I was mesmerized by the tunnel passage .Even today the tunnel passage has no lights n it's quite difficult to walk in such darkness with low oxygen level .
The weird silence and heat coming from the walls was scary moment for me😆

Is there an actual Jauhar place when the whole thing was based on a poem?? I don't understand, did anyone else commit jauhar there as well?
