A newspaper reported this morning that following an alleged split between Katrina and Salman the former is now also taking independent professional decisions. Buzz doing the rounds is that Katrina is moving out of Salman's shadow and wanting to sign films opposite other actors. The report suggests that news of Katrina signing Blue opposite Akshay and a Yash Raj project with John Abraham strengthens this theory.
A source reportedly said, "Katrina is actually rejecting scripts pairing Salman and her. She doesn't want to be typecast with him and is choosing other leading men. Earlier, there was a notion that if a producer had signed Salman for a movie then getting Katrina would be easy. But that's not the case anymore."
Recently, a source revealed to the newspaper that Katrina has opted out of Vipul Shah's London Dreams. The project, initially crafted by Rajkumar Santoshi, was taken over by Shah who wanted to rope in Salman and Katrina for the film. However, Kaif has distanced herself citing date problems.
When asked to react to the development, Vipul said, "What can I say? Please ask her this question; I will talk only when I feel like it. Before that, everything is speculation," it was reported.
Apart from London Dreams, Katrina was also approached to do a song in Atul Agnihotri's Hello, which she refused. Instead she's done a small cameo in the film. There are also reports that Salman wants to cast her in Anil Sharma's Veer.
