I did not mean it for Diya and Ratan (who in a lot of ways are misfits), but the small scene where rings on both the guys hands give an interesting symbolic scene. (In fact, we should make a thread of scenes which are symbolic and how well they are done in the show)

It was a nice frame where one guy was wearing a ring willingly but which was not the same one which was made for him 12years ago. And this new ring was not a perfect fit but something which was put together in hurry and without much thought.

On the other hand, there was another guy who was wearing the ring which was meant for someone else just to make sure he is keeping it safe and he delayed it's arrival and got stuck with it. And in spite of trying was not able to get rid of it.

(another interesting part was he felt that the ring was a bit old fashioned when he first saw it)

I like that frame and the shot which was simple but done well.

I found the symbolism a bit OTT. A little subtlety would have made it look more beautiful. But, looks like makers want to make no bones about Di Ra being the couple. ML and FL of the show, in that order 😆😆.

But Ratan's immaturity feels weird and contrived to me. He has not been so immature all this while and 21 year olds are not all that immature either. He has been on his own for the past 12 years would that not have made him responsible and be in a position to make his or her own choices?

Why are they showing him like he is a 5 year old. Not to mention his selfishness. He does not want to marry Diya, agreed... but, there is nothing that says in his dads letter that he had to marry her pronto! KM is advising him to wait and take a decision and he is not listening nor thinking.

He makes the choice of fasting and blames others for eating? Why? Since when did he start expecting others of his family to starve or make sacrifices for him? And a guy who has been in UK cant realize that he is drinking wine? And gets drunk with just one glass?!! In the quest for TRP the cvs are butchering Ratan in a very bad way and with no rhyme or reason.
