I am not saying that they are doing it in RLHN.

I am just wondering the kind of rituals they show in serials wedding, they make an interesting khichadi of known rituals from various regions and some of them are inventions of the writers. :-D

I am from Maharashtra (actually from Maharashtra Goa border, half my extended family is from Goa, Karwar and Belgaum and speaks various versions of Marathi and Konkani) and am married to a guy from Andhra.

I have first cousins who are bengali. 😆 (I know! Sounds weird na?)

The first wedding I have attended in close family was a bengali wedding. And I know a lot of rituals from it. (I end up attending seven Bengali wedding in family so far)

And I have seen Andhra wedding. and Marathi weddings too and Rajsthani (specifically Rajpoot wedding) too.

What they show here are generally what we Mumbai folks call "Bhajipaala" of all of it and some tadka by writers. It depends on background drama and the lead chemistry to make these bits interesting. While leads here have an interesting chemistry. (To be honest, I felt Suyyash and Tejaswi has an amazing chemistry too and it is underutilized so far.) But the writing it not interesting in the wedding track.

I know we will all have our opinions on this part but I am not impressed by writing in this bit. But I am just waiting for it to be over and see where we reach.

Till then, watch "god knows which regions from they are" kind of rasams (rituals) and drink (hot and spicy direct from South of Vindhya's) rasam (the tamarind based spicy concoction)

:-D

Cheers!

Pranu,

We used to joke that our family is an example of national integration of India! :-D
