Ladies special-Filmfare award winners

Although Jaya Bachchan doesn't take up films too often now, the yesteryear actress turned politician still continues to retain her love for cinema by making her presence felt at various awards and film events. In fact, post the recently held Filmfare Awards, the actress decided to sort of felicitate the female winners by planning a special evening for them.

Posing with Jaya Bachchan was the Bollywood entourage which included Vidya Balan, Konkona Sen, Tilotama Shome, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Swara Bhaskar, Meher Vij among others. Meher Vij, who won the award of Best Supporting Actress at Filmfare this year for her powerful performance in Secret Superstar, took to social media to talk about it.

Meher shared this picture along with the entire gang on Instagram saying, "Last evening was perfect REWARD When Jaya bachan ji invited us for a lovely dinner- what an inspiring energy I had around me with such lovely ladies. Furthermore Meher, who was extremely thrilled with her first Filmfare award, also had an interesting conversation with Vidya Balan and Jaya Bachchan during the party which she shared on the picture hosting site.

Meher Vij, who gained fame as a popular TV star with shows like Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Ram Milaaye Jodi among others, has also featured in films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tum Bin II.

On the other hand, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Vidya Balan too were seen celebrating their win at Filmfare Awards at Jaya Bachchan's party wherein the two won awards for Best Director for Bareilly Ki Barfi and Best Actress for Tumhari Sulu respectively.
