The kind of content never works in Indian Tv and TRP aunties don't like watching a great show like this . I feel bad about makers and team. Rehana is such a nice couple , after a long I started watching a show ..Sp is a bad channel for these kind of shows and top of it the marketing team did a blunder .

I feel this show would have worked wonder in Web series format and we could drool over Rehana for long

What say?.

Web series are normally 10 to 20 episodes long and ask-i-memnu itself is 71 episodes with 2 hours per episode.

To show that many episodes the show need a good budget which can only be provided through channels.

Also people watching web series will lose interest if it is too long.

For my part i think indian viewers are still stuck in saas bahu serials!

Like you i came back to DSJZ after several years of inactiveness!

And for once that im enjoying an indian serials with beautiful actors,it just irks me that people can't see its potential

Exactly... Even I was hooked into a serial after so long and only because of the uniqueness of the story and the great star cast...I had totally forgotten about TV serials as I found Web series more interesting as there is no dragging of stories.

How I wish this was produced by Ekta Kapoor. At least her influence wouldn't have let them shut shop so soon. She would have fought for the story and the life of the serial.

Just recently, Ekta's Pardes which had decent to average TRPs was taken offair and Ekta didn't even give a statement. Gul's heavily promoted IPK too went offair in no time! SP doesn't give a chance to most shows - all of its so-called "nayi soch" shows went off air in no time! Sony does seem to be the best in regards to bringing new concepts and giving them a chance! Colors is better too, in this regard!

DSJZ deserved a lot more! Sucks to see it go offair.

I agree...I'd have preferred it as a web series! Free one that is! 😆 They could keep episodes long i.e. 40 minutes like TVF and other companies have done.

It could have been and would have been much bolder! There wouldn't have been a need for kundli scenes and the little melodrama the show has would be gone too!

Look at how YouTube has made stars out of so many people

This would have worked much better as a web series, with different and more bolder actors...nowadays kissing and swearing is the norm on a lot of the TVF shows

I liked Smriti in the beginning but now she just seems kinda meh...her standing there in short dresses with her lips always open in some weird pout...like she is a lost little girl

I think Rehan is hot but he cant act unfortunately...he nails a few scenes here n there but maybe its the way the character is scripted

SK is okay - I feel like he is giving a half hearted effort now..in fact the writing has gone downhill...show is losing its charm due to it being rushed

Maybe a web series inspired (but not directly copied) can be made one day with some bold actors who are not afraid to show passion etc on screen.

its pretty evidant that the last couple of episodes and the next 4 episodes were shot in a rush and the actors didnt get time to improvice the scenes. So we cannot really blame the actors or script. Its extremely commetable that the writers stayed true to the story till the end and didnt ruin it by giving a happy ending for anant and ahana.

Smriti is a really good actress and her scene after the kissing scene was really good. After that she didnt have much to do other than being confused and getting attracted to rehaan and she was good in both. Ahana right now is not in a state to figure out her emotions and smriti doing a good job at it.

Out of the main cast aashim is the least experianced one and i also agree that he is not that good of an actor. He is still very raw and has a long way to go but he has an amazing screen presence and good chemistry with all the other cast esp with smriti, niki and sanjay. He is also good in angry scenes and romantic scenes. With a good director and script he definitely has the scope to improve more.

Aashim and smriti without much itimate scenes are having really good chemistry. Also smriti is bold enough for indian tv channels. You cannot expect to have ask-i-memnu kind of scenes on indian tv. Her clothes itself is very bold for a starplus show. Also kissing scenes are not the only way of showing passion. The fake kiss was shot way better than some of the pukeworhy kissing senes on bwood movies.
