Excellent post. I also wondered about why the makers did not project Ahana as a career woman. We already have an SP lead in Ishita from YHM , whose characterization is progressive and accepted by the TRP aunties. I am surprised that in DSJZ they did not make Ahana independent enough to run her Dads business after his demise. I would have loved her even more than I do right now had that been the case.

Good point... I remember her sketching something in previous episodes where she totally ignored the calls... But what happened to that after marriage...i would love to see her as a financially independent woman..And as far as the Trps are concerned, this show is competing against BIG BOSS! So they would be low till BB ends. We can know the actual position of the show only after BB ends.

Hence even the channel would be aware of the competition against BB so they won't take any hasty decisions regarding the fate of the serial till BB ends. For once they shouldlet the serial flow without the trp and viewership pressure.They started with a bang..it was a fast paced serial untill last week...it has become very boring and slow.

but this show deserves much more attention from us...why dont we start a daily episode discussion...trust me there will be loads to discussion...this is a very very intense show and every character has many levels and as far as ask-i-memnu goes every emotion of every character has been extremely well explored...

if u all guys r ready to start discussion thread for every episode then i will again start watching on daily basis...

wat say guys...if u guys agree i can take the initiative and open the thread every day two hours before the episode starts...
