Avinash gets cold feet… literally

Avinash Wadhawan, who plays Indrajit Rajvash in Babul Ka Sapna Bidaai, had to shoot for 7 continuous days in night shifts and had a very tough time considering the cold wave conditions in Mumbai.

Sharing his chilly experience, he says, "We were shooting at Madh Island for the show last week. The scene had to be shot on a beach where the wind was very breezy. The only good thing was that none of us caught cough or cold but we were literally shivering and could not speak our lines quickly. I had one line, which required a high pitch but because of cold I could not say it loudly. After trying it many times, I had to drink four glasses of warm water and then finally it came out well."

Avinash adds that it was that much harder for them as none of the actors were carrying warm or woolen clothes on the sets. "I had a temperature meter in my car which was reading 5 degree Celsius. Thankfully, the production house provided us shawls which they had with them but they were very few so we had to share with our co-actors. We eventually had to resort to bonfire. Additionally, everyone had at least 10-15 cups of coffee or tea."

He adds, "We felt like we were shooting in Kashmir or Manali. It was a lifetime experience for us. If you are shooting in a hill station then you carry woolen clothes and you are mentally prepared but in Mumbai it is not like that."

The weather in Mumbai seems to be sparing none. We hope the production houses take this into consideration in the future.
