Its a free world and if someone wants to lighten their skin they have a right to do so. People with fair skin and those who want fair skin are not responsible for the feelings of duskier and darker people. 🥱

^^ exactly problem is not wanting a fairer skin, the main issue is having mindset that fair is beautiful.

More than banning the fair skin products, they need to try to change the society where only fair is beautiful. Here all white people go to tanning salon to get their skin tan, and we hate the god gifted beautiful skin tone.

Just like wanting a 6 pack does not make having a tummy an anathema, similarly someone wanted a fairer skin or wanting to tan themselves by no way implies putting other skin tones down. We can definitely be a bit more accommodative of others choices and opinions unless someone is blatantly discriminating based on skin color and what not. By over sensitizing everything, we tend to desensitize the issue in the long run.
