Contrary to popular belief, doctors have a romantic life. Five of Mumbai's romantic doctor couples taught the reel-life couple – actors Shilpa Anand & Karan Grover – on their experiences and courtship. Shilpa and Karan, famous for their on-screen romance in Cinevistaas 'Dill Mill Gayye', got a crash course in romancing in an event to celebrate the show's 100 episodes.

The doctor couple, Dr Poonam & Dr Krunal Desai were crowned 'The Dill Mill Gayye Couple' by the cast and crew of the show and were crowned by Shilpa and Karan. Said Dr Poonam, "Love is what makes us tick. Without love and compassion, the best doctors cannot treat patients. Meeting Krunal was the best part of my life, a part that made my life complete and actually helped in my career."

Last week Cinevistaas hosted a grand party for real-life doctor couples from Mumbai and the cast of 'Dill Mill Gayye'. The evening saw seemingly serious, workaholics, unromantic doctors reveal their romantic side which at times was even better than the melodrama on screen. The doctors revealed their fascinating secrets, narrating and even enacting the ways their partner wooed them in their college days.

The Creative Director of the show, Rohini Singh was so thrilled with the couples that she actually decided to take cues from the real life incidents, of course if the couple permitted. Says Rohini, "Putting real life romance onto the screen is always more convincing than making it all up. With their permission, we would actually want to use their experiences in the show. I am sure the cast can now relate to a doctor's life and how romance can bloom even in a hospital."

The cast also got into whole romantic groove as both Dr. Riddhima and Dr. Aarman quizzed the young doctor couples on love facts. Each doctor couple also enacted moments from their real life, with Armaan and Riddhima giving them company. The rest of the star cast cheered alongside and later took to the dance floor. All in all, the event was a great mix of fun, glamour and went beyond the conventional party and all things beautiful.
