Hi guys...i have a doubt...and I dunno who to ask so I am asking it here...if it is stupid plz forgive me...i was wondering if Devi Pravati's parents were immortals...i mean she was born a human but through severe penance realized she is Adishakti...so being a Goddess and Mahadev's ardhangini she is immortal but what about her parents ? I mean she did penance for years and yet when she finally married Mahadev her parents were around.

I was confused...so i am asking this...plz forgive me if its stupid.

To answer your question. We need to go back bit..

We know there are 4 yugas..

What many don't know is.. Humans..normal mortals too changed with passing yuga's.. They were tallest during krita yugam.. And will be tiniest during mahapralaya at the end of Kali yug..

Like wise they used to live for 1000s years before their natural death.. For instance - Lord Sri Ram's father ruled for 60,000 years..

Life expectancy was high.. And got reduced as yugs rolled on..

Besides.. Himavan and mainavati too did penance to get a daughter :)
