Interesting. thanks

Lets say 200 people were on voot last week

priyank went first...he got 67...meaning 134 voted yes and 66 voted no and hence he got 67%

vikoo went next

he got 71...meaning 142 voted yes and 58 voted no

since time difference is negligible i am assuming same 200 people remained online

so by this logic...t

66 voted no for p
58 voted no for v
76 voted for both?

if someone voted no to both then that would increase yes yes to both

yes yes
no no
no yes
yes no

this is really a farce

How did you calculate 76 voted for both? Cause you can't simply do, 200-(66+58). Because there might be people who had voted No No to both and can't be counted. Those 66 who voted No for priyank might as well vote No for Vikas and similarly for Vikas.

And, those who actually voted No for both, how would that increase Yes to both? NO NO = not voting at all. Those voting No for both wouldn't be counted in those 200. Infact, I don't understand the point of keeping No as an option cause logically No here simply means not voting for contestant at all. That's why meter just goes up not down.
So, this is just mutually exclusive as in both the contestant's voting are purely independent. Voting Yes or no for one contestant would not effect another contestant's percentage, would only effect if that contestant is himself voted Yes. Although, there can be other ways too.

EDIT: Just realized, number of check ins can be different for both so 200 won't be same for both. One has to check in separately for both the contestants. That changes some things now as checking in for other contestant and not voting for him or voting No would decrease his percentage.

Found it bogus only in the end because Shilpa shot up from 55% to 77%.

Moreover even I kept questioning what is the base of the percentage?
If it depends on the number of members checked in then it's rubbish because both the times he number of people that check in will be different .

There is a TV screen where voters appear...dont be surprised if u see same face appearing 5 times there

BTW; What is this percent thing? What does it mean if meter says 71%? whats the denominator?

How are votes converted to percent?

a farce
