Part #27

At night

Madhu was in her room going to sleep when she heard knocking on her door

"Yes Mama Ji" Madhu

"Is Rishabh back?" Radha

"Yes" Madhu

"I need to talk with him" Radha

"He is in his room" Madhu

"What? His room. Isn't this his room?" Radha confusing

"It was mom. Nowadays I'm using another room" RK

"Why is that?" Radha

"I stay up most of the night reading and Madhu can't sleep in light" RK lying to his mother about why he is sleeping in another room

"Good night" Radha not buying what RK said and leaving them both to her room to sleep

"Good night mom. But you said you want to talk" RK

"We will talk tomorrow not now" Radha

"I'm sorry RK. I don't know how my tongue slipped and said your room" Madhu

"It is ok. She is staying with us. Sooner or later she would know the situation. So sooner is better. Good night and don't overthink about it" RK

"Good night" Madhu

Next morning

Madhu waked up early to prepare breakfast for her mother in-law

"Mama Ji here is your tea" Madhu

"Don't call me that" Radha

"What?" Madhu

"Don't call me Mama. I'm not your mother" Radha

"You are my mother in-law. That's why I call you Mama" Madhu

"No I'm not" Radha

"What do you mean Mama Ji?" Madhu confused

"Look Madhubala I never liked you. From the first time I saw you, I said you are not good enough for my son. But I had to accept you for my son's happiness. I saw his love to you in his eyes when he looked at you. But now I see my son is not happy with you. I know he loved you a lot. So how is he sleeping in another room leaving his room to you? Sure, the problem is you. Your marriage is not complete I can see it from the way you both behave. You got nerves if he touched you by mistake. You both are not comfortable with each other's. So you are not my son's wife. You are no one to me. You are nothing. You don't deserve him" Radha

"Sorry mom but you can't judge if our marriage is complete or not. My relation with Madhu matters for us both only. It is something between us. Man and wife. So please don't talk like this with my wife. I respect all your relationships and I expect the same from you" RK

Radha couldn't reply him and they stayed silent for few moments

"Will you go to hospital?" Radha trying to change the topic

"No I took day off to stay home with you" RK

"Don't leave you work for me" Radha

"It is ok mom" RK

"No I know how important your job for you. So go now" Radha

"Actually I have to go after two hours because I have important surgery today" RK

"So go now. Don't leave you patients for me" Radha

"Is it ok if I leave you?" RK looking at Madhu who didn't say a word since Radha hurt her with her words

"Yes it is ok now go" Radha thinking he was asking her

Madhu nodded with her head and assured him she will be ok

RK left to his work and Madhu tried to avoid Radha all the day she didn't leave her alone she stayed in the hall but she didn't say a word to her mother in-law. And Radha acted as if Madhu is not there at all and ignored her completely

After three days

Madhu was sitting in the hall and she heard the door bill. No one from the servant was near the door so she went to open the door she saw Mr. Bhatia

"Hello" Kuku

"Hello" Madhu

"Will you not let me in?" Kuku flabbergasted that she didn't give him the way to enter the house

"My husband is not here and I can't let you in without his permission" Madhu

"What! How rude you are?" Kuku

"If you want you can stay here till I call him. Or if you can't stay you can leave" Madhu

"Ok call him" Kuku very angry from Madhu's treatment

Madhu called her husband

"Yes" RK

"Mr. Bhatia is here. I didn't let him in. what do you want me to do?" Madhu

"Don't let him in. I'm on my way" RK very angry to hear that filthy man is in his house

After two minutes Radha coming out her room and she saw the door is open and Madhu is standing on the doorstep

"Why are you standing there? Who is out there?" Radha

"Mr. Bhatia" Madhu

"What! And you didn't let him in?" Radha getting angry from Madhu and going to open the door to her husband

"I can't let him in" Madhu trying to prevent Kuku from entering the house

"Who are you to say who enters the house and who doesn't" Radha

"I'm no one. But it are not my words. It are your son's orders. And I can't let anyone enter his house against his will" Madhu

"But he is not anyone he is my husband for God sake" Radha

"And I'm following my husband's orders nothing more" Madhu

"I'm the one called him to come and take me" Radha

Radha pushed Madhu by her hand to give away to her husband and she toke him in the house against her son's will. When she pushed her, Madhu couldn't balance herself and she was going to hit her head on the door's edge when she felt a hand on the door edge protecting her head from the hit. She rose her eyes to see whose hand is. And saw RK standing behind her. He helped her to stand straight and his eyes was full of anger from his mother.

"Madhubala go to your room please" RK

She nodded with her head and went upstairs to her room

"What is happening here?" RK asking his mother

"Your so called wife didn't allow my husband to enter the house" Radha shouting at RK

"It is me who told her so. You should talk to me not her. She just follow my words" RK

"How dare you to forbid my husband to come here" Radha

"How dare he to come here after what he did to you. And how can you defending him" RK

"I'm the one who asked him to come" Radha

"What? After all he did" RK

"Yes. I called him to come and take me with him. I packed my bags already" Radha

"Do you know what are you saying? He cheated on you. He slapped you. He kicked you from your house. And you still want to go back with him" RK can't believe what he is hearing from his mother

"Radha Ji are you coming with me or not. I'm late. I don't have time for all of this" Kuku

"No she is not coming with you" RK controlling his anger

"Kuku Ji take the bags and I will come tomorrow morning" Radha

"What are you saying Mom? I feel sick to just talk to such man. And you are saying that you will be back to him" RK

Kuku took Radha's bags and left RK with his mother

"Give me one reason make you go back to that man?" RK trying to understand his mother

"Because I love him. I always loved him. All my life I am loving him" Radha

"What do you mean all your life? You know him after your divorce with papa, right?" RK

"No Rishabh I love him before I know your father. I always love him. Before your father and when I was with your father and after divorcing your father. He is the only man I love all my life" Radha confessing her love and only love to her son giving him shock.
