Day One: Get Noticed-


Adhiraj was restless, he wasn't sure what was bothering him, but he couldn't get Devi's words out of his head.

It was 9am in the morning, where was she?
No prayer, no tilak.

Sighing in annoyance he walked out of his room to find her, "Chori"
He went to her room, to Kesar's room, nothing

Walking downstairs he saw Devi sat on the sofa, drinking tea
Smiling at him she stood up

"Why havent you done your morning prayers" Adhiraj asked
Devi laughed "I did, 2 hours ago"

"But my"
Devi raised her eyebrow "Tilak"?
He nodded

"Ask your maasa to do it"
Adhiraj looked on surprised, why was she being so different?

Nodding, he walked away to find Maasa
After recieveing his Tilak and taking her blessings he left for work

When his lunch break arrived, he got a call
"Hello"
Devi smiled "Hello Adhiraj, I have a question"

Adhiraj was shocked to hear her voice but hesitantly asked her to continue anyway
"Well, what is the best sleeping position"

Adhiraj jumped up "Excuse me"
Devi smiled "You heard what I said"

"Why are you asking such weird questions"
Devi acted clueless "Weird, no, not at all, I struggle to sleep on a bed as I am used to sleeping on the floor, so I am asking, if you were considering other things, then that isn't my issue"

Adhiraj shook his head in an effort to get images of a sleeping Devi out of his head
"No, I just mean why not just ask me later chori"

Devi smirked "Its a private matter hmm, between husband and wife, I didnt want to ask you infront of others, so I am asking in the privacy of my own bedroom"

Adhiraj grunted a reply and slammed the phone down
Pushing his hand through his hair he sat back down

"Control Adhiraj , you're a Rajawat, not a Chauhan"

Later on in the evening, Adhiraj arrived home

"Maasa" taking her blessings they spoke about his day and hers
Eating his dinner, he looked around for Devi but could not see her

Maasa looked at him ssuspiciously but he claimed tiredness and walked up the stairs away from her questioning gaze

Walking past Devi's bedroom, he saw her lying on the floor
Walking in, she smiled up at him

Adhiraj shook his head, ready to walk out then stopped
Turning he fluffed her pillows and lessened them to 2 rather than 3

Pointing to the bed, Devi stood up and got in
"Sleep on your side"

Devi turned on her side, facing him
Smiling up at him, he went to walk out

"Adhiraj"
"Hmm"
"Thanks for helping me"

He cleared his throat "I didn't help you, I just didn't want to hear your complaints all day"

Devi ignored his comment and closes her eyes

One step forward, 29 more to go.

And that is chapter one!

Day 2: Catch Me When I Fall

Devi had read many books in her time and at some point the heroine always falls in the hero's arms, literally

Devi stood on the stool, her fingers resting on the end of the picture frame

Her body felt his presence as he walked in the room, she always did
She was so atuned to him

Like he was a part of her
Devi closed her eyes, praying for her plan to work

Knocking her heel on the stool, she felt herself fall back
Strong arms grabbed her waist

Her eyes were clenched tight, her hands fisted his collar
Opening her eyes slowly she smiled at Adhiraj

"You saved me"
Adhiraj looked at her weirdly
Pushing her up, he stood back

"Be more careful next time"
Devi lifted her hand to her heart
"I didnt know you cared so much about me"

Adhiraj rolled his eyes
"I dont, I just dont want blood on my floor if you get injured"

Devi wrapped her arms around his neck
"All this romance is getting me a bit heated"
Adhiraj gulped "Romance, heated"


Shoving her back he ran his hand through his hair
"Crazy"
"Crazy in love with you" she retorted

Adhiraj walked out of the room, his body still warm from where her body pressed against his

He needed to get himself under control
Looking down, he saw Devi's earring attatched to his coat

Picking it off, he slipped it into his pocket
A small smile on his face
Devi smiled lovingly as he walked away

Day 3: A Compliment A Day, Will Send Adhiraj My Way-

Devi whistled at a shirtless Adhiraj
Turning he glared at her
"Look elsewhere chori"

Leaning against the door frame she smirked "But why, you're so handsome, I dont think I could possibly want to look anywhere else"

Adhiraj turned to hide his smile
He wasn't sure why, but the fact Devi found him handsome, made him very happy

Turning he bumped into Devi, who was now stood right infront of him
Her hand traced his muscles slowly

Leaning closer she whispered into his ear "You should smile more, it really brings out your eyes "
He couldnt look anywhere else but at this beautiful, confident, charming woman in front of him

"My eyes" he gulped
"Yes, your eyes, they make me feel like im drowning "

Adhiraj didnt realise how, but his back was now against the wall
"Drowning in what"
"You" she mouthed

Suddenly her lips were against his, quickly like a feather touch, but they were there.
Stepping back she tapped his chest and walked away

Biting her lip to hide her huge grin
Adhiraj brought his fingers to his lips, what kind of magic did this woman possess?

3 steps forward, 27 more to go.
