There he was , as handsome as ever , standing besides the big old banyan tree near the school gate gazing around when his gaze settled on the one person his eyes had starved to see ...
His eyes were getting a glimpse of HIS Jo after almost 7 years ... and like parched soul finally getting a few drops of water after suffering in the hot desert .. he kept drinking her sight ...
Forgetting where he was and the purpose of him being here ...
"She still looks the same innocent beautiful doll " he thought before quickly hiding himself from her ...
And then she turned around making his breath to stop at once ...
The fear of him getting noticed making him all nervous about her reactions when she finally sees him ... he hid himself more behind the thick trunk of the tree ..
No he wasn't a coward ... he was just concerned and scared of her reactions ...
On the other hand she was busy searching him , he was 100 percent sure about this and still awed it till date ... her ability to sense his presence around her within moments ...
There was a spark in her eyes , a certain desperateness when she travelled her gaze through the whole school standing at the entrance but her face fell when her eyes couldn't see what they wanted to see ...
Yet the heart signalled her to just try once more .. may be just may be she had skipped seeing him here ..
Its become a ritual for both of them .. to be there on this day ... to be so near yet so far away ...
Like every year thats gone by she's here to keep her promise and like every year he isn't here to cut the cake ... or so she thought yet not letting his absence hamper her spirit she lit the candle on the cake ...
