Marital rape is wrong? To this day many people would tell you that if a girl gets raped she can be married off to her rapist to save her honor. For most people in India rape is only an issue because the girl will loose her virginity or/and she has been touched by another main and is therefore soiled. It's got nothing to do with the victim's pain.

So true about the victim's pain. It's only a problem 'cause ab 'isse shaadi kaun karega?'. For such people, a woman's value lies in her vagina and only her ability to give birth to children and uphold family honour makes her a 'good' woman. Baaki sab are fair game to be targeted.
