EDT~ ep44, 21.12.17, My stance. . Eclipsed!
Obscure, partially concealed, hidden from view, has been the tone of "There once was an insane lover! From start till now, our understanding has a shadow of doubt regards who is the insane lover Vyom or Shiv? The reference to the solar eclipse, a celestial process whereby the sun's light is obscured by the intervention of the moon at a point on the earth, has been used with relevance to the plot. Solar eclipse's significance in the past, casts a shadow upon what really happened with Sharanya two years ago in Kapali hills? The repeat of the eclipse after two year, presently, yet again over whelms are understanding about the truth behind Vyom's possessed state, and other events that make up this episode. Characters , events appear, unreal and surpass our sense of acceptance..
Hit and miss situations promote supposition and conjecture, and truth remains partially concealed.. Freddy, Odhni scene, gives a sense of race against making it in time before the wedding! beating the solar eclipse. The fact that Odhni spots Ram dashing across the road, is enough for her to surmise and draw many conclusions about things she too has no answers for. The good thing ,is she has seen him alive, running. Seeing a vision of Shiv with a blood dripping dagger, actually makes her believe that Shiv will kill today? It's through Odhnis imagination we get the part impressions, that Shiv turns negative. Through her eyes we see Vyom with a dagger lodged in his belly.. Odhni may just be influenced with popular belief that the sun's part cover, attracts evil spirits to rule the earth. Seeing Ram fleeing from something, someone, however prompts Odhni further that Shiv will have a field day! He has reason. Can Odhni's visions about Shiv the spirit be taken for granted??
Ram's run is not so much fear of someone/something as its more the urgency to warn his daughter. His trip against the water pump..is the beginning of his delay in warning his daughter; and meeting his end?? At one point ,to me Ram thinks he sees a spirit?? Shiv walks towards an injured, fallen Ram?? Is this true? or merely an outcome of Ram's dizzy spell? brought on by the unexpected trip? However one thing can be noted,he appears terrified! Enough, to forget Maata's idol on the ground! and flee!!
The wedding parties meet, all is well in the skies. The sun shines, like any other day. But the radiant bride's heart and mind are eclipsed by her father's absence and the sun's part ominous cover! Every time her father's absence is noticed or mentioned. Vyom studies her face intensely..like he is almost aware of Ram's extended delay. At this point in the story, viewers suspect foul play from the Bedi's.. be it Rajan or the groom himself. On the face of it, Vyom loves what he sees in Sharanya's stunning bridal beauty. She seems to note only if his sacred thread is in place on his wrist. Ram is not the only missing family member, Chandni and Madhvi too are missing , due to Rajan's threats.. still for keeping up appearances, absent family members are mentioned!
Just when Ram thinks he missed his near death, and resumes his journey back to his daughter's wedding.. a huge log from nowhere is hurled against him! leaving him flat and knocked out on his back.. feebly calling for Sharanya... the figure of an anxious Shiv looms over Ram! These images are thrown in to lead the viewers to believe that the spirit is the culprit. This well may be only half the truth..
A father's groan , somehow reaches his daughter. Sharanya gets more anxious at the wedding venue. Vyom like a considerate groom to be, looks out for her and consoles her, her father will surely come.
Some relationhips act as a Match stick .. aggravate situations by setting them a light. Madhvi's entry prompts the removal of the sacred thread. The scene is valid to bring home the point that without the red thread Vyom continues to be at risk of being a prey to paranormal attack.
Vyom's possession on this occasion, to my mind is eclipsed by some doubts regards its being genuine. Madhvi's unceasing distrust , and deep antagonism towards Sharanya is never ending. Kerosene symbolizes loathing for Sharanya, discontent with Rajan, and being a victim of life!! Vyom sees his mother comes in, to set ablaze the point when he is about to claim Sharanya as his permanent happiness, the love of his life. He can see that his mother creates a volatile situation! The only way he can diffuse the situation is by going for her, aggressively, grappling with her, whereby the thread comes off ! thus giving him the chance to act possessed!.. the fleeing pandit confirms the groom is possessed! But as expected Sharanya still holds her ground of stoic faith!
However, in this episode I felt, that in the greater scheme of events, Vyom, may have some other ulterior motive? To prevent Ram from seeing Sharanya ? Ram may have stumbled across some vital piece of information from Sharanya's letter, and contents of the box? It is noteworthy that after his turning possessed act in the wedding venue, he runs away like a frightened animal! Sharanya follows him to calm him down! Vyom Runs wildly in the wilderness, I suspect close to their house.. and who should he meet there? Ram Bisht ! just the very man he wants to stop from attending the wedding..??? In a seemingly possessed state Vyom pushes Ram backwards! Preventing him from going forward.. Ram fall backwards.. could this be Ram's fatal fall?? The failing father feebly whisper's his daughter's name Sharanya ... only she fails to hear, as she chases Vyom who runs suddenly in the opposite direction to where Ram lay struck down!. Shiv watches silently and recites.. "The promises made in those moments were broken. "The patience of love got broken. I am no more. But ,my hope to make you mine, is still there. Dramatic episode , but yet again, not free from assumptions, suppositions and inferences.. mental eclipse I would say so for myself.. the clean characters, appear grey and the grey ones.. I am tempted to revise my thoughts.. is this marriage going to take place?? Even if Ram dies?? I want to know what he found in the box?? Tomm.. some exorcism takes place.. if at all Vyom is possessed?? .. once more Vikram was dead ghostly!woooahhh.. and Namik plz show up! about time.. Donal super se uper!!
