1) For airports, the A380 will be a boost for business: '
By 2016, we expect 60,000 A380 movements a year at London Heathrow. This will enable nearly 10 million more passengers to fly to and from Heathrow with no increase in flights,' said Eryl Smith, of British Airport Authority (BAA) Heathrow.
2) Customers have committed almost USD$40 billion to buying the plane. The list price of A380 is USD$260 million. Airbus would need to sell 248 of the planes just to break even, say analysts.

Even the large airports must upgrade their facilities to enable the A380 to land.
For instance, London's Heathrow airport has to spend 450 million pounds (643 million euros, 842 million dollars) to accommodate new Airbus A380 planes, the first of which was set to roll out of its hangar.
