Reasons for Luv's Ascendency

Since the time nominations were announced on Monday, I have been saying that Luv will be saved. I have been saying from Day 1 that actions of a contestant on this show decides who votes for whom, you may have a fanbase which may help you initial few weeks but that doesn't necessarily mean that they watch Bigg Boss, viewers of this show are a separate user group and one needs to develop his own fans to survive in this game in long run.

To give it a background, this week started with Luv being chosen as least deserving by all housmates including his friend group. Prior to this, Luv was not saved either by Hina or Priyank. Anyone would have been disheartened and fought with his friends or given up like Akash that he indeed is not going to survive.

But how did Luv reacted on Monday's episode?
I just loved the way how Luv responded to shilpa's situation on Monday's episode, no unwanted drama, no footage hungry action. It's always portrayed that only faksters can survivor in this BB house, so much for the game that human ethics are considered a drawback for it takes time for a good soul to shine through, Luv might have been lucky earlier but has definitely shown through with his personality and is coming though nicely voicing his opinions.

I found him deserving than many other contestants, for he is playing with his insecurity of being a commoner(reflected in his earlier orchestrated fights), he could not have fallen any lower than this, even his friends named him undeserving. Looked like only way he could go forward was being himself and simultaneously being assertive, he showed that side to his friends group too, he won't stoop to the level for Akash or Arshi or Puneesh, but it takes loads of courage to stand up to your friends when one finds them wrong or being dismissive to one's personality. He made his displeasure known, sulked and moved on with grace. He has been performing better in tasks recently like pram and robot task. Overall, he has come out better than Hiten with limited resources at his disposal which had made him play the game on a weekly basis rather than someone who could plan their long term game owing to their fanbase.

For clarity let me reiterate once again how he moulded this game play:
1. Adaptability: he understands that he needs to interact with other contestants and bridge the gap as his group itself rates him lowly, has started interacting with Shilpa.
2. Secure: After family task he is sure about his game play and knows that he will play it his way which shows his personality which is likable anyday in comparison to Puneesh, Akash or Arshi.
3. Confident in his abilities and not giving up like Akash did last week, he has full trust in himself to confront others after family task, whatever indecisiveness which clouded his game play has given in to a secure mind not afraid to play it his way and believing in his father's feedback completely.

As a viewer, I'm concerned with supporting a contestant who doesn't fall for other's method of dirty game play and sticks to his natural personality which in itself is pleasant to watch, for advancing his chances.

Captainship Task:

Luv single handedly destroyed Vikas and Arshi's game, Shilpa was falling for fate accompali tactics of Vikas(Arshi nai maan rahi na, tum maan jao), if not for Luv standing his ground. Hina and Priyank again ill advised Luv that he played wrongly during captaincy task. From his vantage, it works that no one has any power relating to nominations for next week, again sign of confident game play, not short sighted view of just being a contender without any agenda to win it. He clearly told Priyank and Hina not to discuss it further as they were hell bent on taking him for another guilt trip, bhagwan bachaye aise murkh doston se...height of selfishness..

He wanted to nominate himself and Shilpa as captainship contenders for following reasons in my opinion:
1. He gets into good book of Shilpa any which way, and may help further his friendship with her
2. He knows that Shilpa has no real friends except Puneesh at this point in game, but has people like Hina, Arshi, Akash who clearly despise her. So he had better chances against Shilpa in case contenders were subjected to voting process. Even otherwise in any other task which involved housemates, he was assured of clear majority favouring him.
3. He didn't fall for tactics of Vikas and Arshi to force their name down his throat by not budging at all and ready to deal with consequences of it, ultimately turned out that no one is saved from nomination, loved the frustration on Vikas and Arshi faces.

He played really smart independent game, ek teer se do shikaar, no offense but it's beyond Hina and Priyank's understanding, will definitely gain strength if he plays independently and doesn't get bogged down because of his friends.

Luv is genuinely a good guy. He is not fake or footage hungry like others. I hope he wins if it's not Vikas.

Happy if Luv wins, no comment about Vikas, this topic is not about him anyways.

This topic isn't about Vikas, and Luv has improved tremendously during past week, resulting in immense support on twitter and many polls, if one doesn't wish to see the reality when confronted with it, I can't really help with that.

Luv is beginning to grow on me. I like that he's a calm, fairly sorted player. BUT ... I think he's quite sly and capable of being quite duplicitous.
When he was in the padosi house he played against Hina by voting for Arshi. At that point Hina was quite influential in the house. When he came into the house he aligned himself to her. However now that the whole BB house thinks Shilpa is being protected, he's trying to create an alliance there too!

I actually really liked him when he played against Hina in the padosi house.

I think his simplicity worked for him as well as audience sympathy because he is constantly called a weak contestant by the entire house including his friends whereas he has only shown loyalty to his friends and have also stood up for Shilpa and never played any politics at least openly but maybe he is strategizing by aligning himself with strong competitors.

Difference being he hasn't ditched his friends till date inspite of being repeatedly reminded by his friends that he is undeserving, and as for making new alliance, seems fair to me as he opens new positions for himself to play around which is not always bound by Hina's game play.. I don't read too much into his actions when he was stranger to HM's.

I would term it affinity or fondness for his personality and not sympathy.😊
