Hey there all the lovely people!!
Apologies for being late... it was heart breaking to see the precap...but here is the post nonetheless.
~ It's not the load that weighs you down, it's the way you carry it ~ C.S Lewis
Kanak has been cornered into her own plan, she tried getting Massi to admit that she wouldn't give up the property even for Uma's happiness... but as they say it doesn't take much for a hunter to fall into its own trap and become the hunted... while Kanak was trying to shoot wicked snakes she herself has been cornered - the options are spread out in front of her, 100% Uma or 50% property, it's for her to decide to whether she would nose dive into the cliff or she would take back a step into safety and wait for a better opportunity - technically taking a step back at times doesn't mean that one is scared or afraid to move forward, but as an athlete takes a step back to hold more ground and gain more stronger spring in the race. Kanak is confused because she hadn't anticipated this kind of turn around of her plan, she hadn't even considered getting the divorce part, seeing the way she was shocked. But Massi fuels her ego and unconsciously Kanak has taken the challenge as ego issue, the flaw that she never takes a step back from the challenge thrown at her, her obsession to play and win takes the better of her and she is ready to gamble and is determined to win both Uma and his wealth.
In between the chaotic storm that has started to brew, Uma is the tennis ball, he is standing alongside Kanak, he asks her to stop doing whatever she is doing as he cannot see Massi hurt ... for the first time he doesn't interrupt Kanak while she is having a interrogation session with Massi.
Uma refuses to agree to Massi's condition of marrying Palomi after divorcing Kanak. He is conflicted for the thought of remarrying never occurred to him even while he was contemplating divorce initially. Kanak and Uma are shocked beyond words and they look at each other, Kanak silently pleading him not to accept and he for the first time he vocalizes that he can't do what Massi is saying.
The line of the day is ~don't let the matters get so worse that in the end only the trust remains~ that's Uma's concern regarding the whole issue.. he is trusting Kanak and is standing by her unquestioning but he has warned her that what good would trust do when there would be no relationship left between them... and he ain't happy about it.
Everything in life is a choice one way or the other, but relationships like marriage shouldn't be an option. Husband/wife shouldn't be an option for each other to be chosen from multiple choice questions. It's about priorities, Massi would have made a mistake sooner or later and Kanak could have taken her chance. But she refused to take a step back and has put her relationship with Uma to be auctioned off - it's with this track that Palomi's love for Uma has been revealed but how casually it was thrown that it didn't even make a difference. No matter how weird stupid this track might seem, it looks that things might get better, that things can't be worse than this.
