It's being hailed as the 2nd best Star wars film after Empire Strikes Back. This, along with Luke Skywalker, might help it to break North American BO record. It might even touch billion dollar marks is North America. However, touching Avatar in international BO is a mammoth task. Most of the countries don't have Star wars nerds like US. And, Kylo Ren isn't Darth Vader.

God I would be so happy if they do 😊. I can't watch TLJ until Tuesday and I should probably buy more tickets in advance. I know once is not going to enough for me. I will want to watch this 10 more times.

I liked Avatar a lot. But I don't remember loving it so much that I wanted to watch it over and over again. So I would like it if some other movie takes its place.

I liked Avtar but was never interested in watching Star Wars movies. Isit better than Nolan's movies?

Star wars original trilogy has probably the greatest fantasy films of all time although I personally prefer Lord of the rings. On the other hand, the prequel series has probably the worst fantasy films of all time.

Yes, purely on the basis of US domestic box office circuit where Force awakens outgrossed Avatar in domestic grosses. However, beating avatar in worldwide box office market is a herculean task and unlikely to happen.

There are many possible records to break. I assume what matters is that it makes sense if it crosses the impressive record set by Force awakens. I like starwars, the new trilogy. I hope it emerges top grosser this year.

Being highest grossing film of 2017 will be a walk in the park for Star Wars. The highest grosser, Beauty and the beast, couldn't touch 1.3 billion usd. Star wars will probably transcend it in its 1st week. 😆
