Ammaji - the fascinating one

Hello all, this is my first post on the Laado forum.

I wanted to say firstly that I am very pleased to have Meghna Malik back as Ammaji. I know she may be too old or unromantic for some of my younger friends here but by good she really makes the show.

I am pleased that she is supported by talented actors like Avika & Shaleen but for me the primary and sole reason I am watching is the powerful character of Ammaji.

Those who did not see season 1 may not appreciate the legendary status she had in Veerpur. The great evil she did for which poor Jhanvi has paid. She planted the seeds that allowed Rantej type characters to thrive.

She is repentant, grieving and wounded like a lioness. She was always the most powerful & fascinating character I have seen on TV. the most exciting role for a woman: you hated and loved her. Now we have the chance to love her more which makes me happy.

Now she will need her right & left arms: Yuvraj & Anushka in order to destroy their enemies. none of them can do it alone, I am eagerly waiting for them to team up.

btw it may be just me but I am not particularly bothered with the romance as yet. I don't think it is appropriate as yet but I would definitely support gradual understanding deepening into friendship & the loyalty of comrades with a touch of extra sweetness.

Totally agreed Meghan malick very experienced and talented Avika Shaleen r also talented and when ammaji team up with anushaka and yuvraj it's become sone pe suhaga but story line both ammaji and anushaka want justice for jahnvi but their way totally different

Very true CK - Anushka is still very innocent & nave. Yuvraj is already started teaching her the realities of life and Ammaji will help do the rest as she has always been a law unto herself.

It seems as if Yuvraj has a foot in both worlds and understands how to explain to Anushka better than Ammaji migt - so he will be the mediating element.

I kind of feel Anushka is shown a bit too nave at this stage surely she must know how the representatives of the law are not all worthy). All she has to do is read the papers...

Anushka have full confidence in law as a law student. In Delhi law always helped her but in Veerpur law wont help her hope soon she will understand it and hope she joins hands with Ammaji to take revenge and make Veerpur a safe village for women 😃

I am enjoying the buildup to our three champions meeting outside the chaudry haveli - Anushka for phone top up, yuvraj for ice cream & Ammaji after the blasts

Completely agree with you . Ammaji is the life of this show without her show would have been no different from other romantic angles running currently. No offense but we have ample of romantic sagas on television right now tho shaleen is one of my favorite actor but still this is ammaji's show & none apart from meghna Malik can portray this character . I have seen S1 so i actually know what ammaji is capable of doing right now what ammaji needs the most is the support & that support would b yuvraj & anushka when the trio would team up tab hoga asli dhamaka .

yeh Amma ji fix eyes of viewers whenever she come on screen . her character is so dynamic that she alone capable to pull the viewer

CVs can show Anushka and yuvraaj romantic love story later on but I more willing to see furious positive Amma ji

I don't want to take Amma ji to take law in hand otherwise she will land in jail

but I rather want Amma ji to help Anushka and police to capture criminal

I have seen second half of Laado Season 1 and enjoyed Meghna Malik's acting as Ammaji very much. Can you tell me whose daughters are Jahnvi and Anushka? In season 1 she already had a grand daughter called Jahnvi. I did not catch the first few episodes of season 2, so wondering.

Hi Juhi Sorry for the late response. I think this is just a patchwork with the original show - Previously it was Diya & Jhanvi as granddaughters & now Jhanvi & Anushka. I think this may be cleared later on.

Actually Ammaji made 1 comment in the first-2nd episode- which translated was: that these two are not from my stomach but they are very dear to me. which made me wonder if perhaps they are not directly of her blood. This would actually be kind of more interesting.
