I've never liked this Shabana Azmi. She is one of those people whose morals change based on their convenience. One of the most power hungry and hypocritically arrogant woman this one is. As far as Padmavati is concerned, it's SLB's fault that people don't trust him to have presented the facts in the right way. First of all, if the film is based on a fictional character then from the very beginning, SLB should not have publicized the film as based on some true story. Second of all, if you've already publicized it as true story then at least stick to the real historical facts. But after what he did with Devdas and Bajirao Mastani, people expect SLB to distort the facts based on his imagination and commercial requirement. So, people don't trust him at all with what he will do to Padmavati. SLB has, not for once, tried to clarify this as a fictional character even after so much negative protests. Third, there is a high chance that because of SLB's delays the film's release has already been delayed to 2018 and this delay from Dec 1st to avoid violence is just a cover up to gain even more publicity. Hence, it is difficult to sympathize with Padmavati team.

And honestly, why is the death threat only to Deepika and not to SLB or Shahid or Ranveer? I don't know I can avoid thinking of this as DP's PR exercise.

Either way, it is a VERY BAD SITUATION that someone has the guts to publicly threat someone to kill them and declare a reward on their head. In that case, honestly, by now the violent person who issued the threat should have been arrested. That is what these guys should be requesting the government to do. DP already has police protection, even when she did not have that, she probably had body guards always around her.
