For starters, no this is not a deviation topic.. The two topics are open.. Feel free to expose the hypocrisy😆

Now coming to the main point, I have often heard idols being used for favs in this forum.. So my question is, do you really idolize the people you like or love in BW? I mean idolize is a big word.. if a certain someone is your idol, you revere him.. its more or less hero-worshiping
Like for instance, I love Shah to bits and pieces.. But he ain't my idol.. There are certain aspects of his life that I absolutely love like his will to success, to work for what he believes in, and his love for family among other things.. But is he my idol? Nope cuz then there are certain aspects of his life that I have a strong disliking to as well

So finally my question, do you guys really consider your favs as your idol? If yes, why?

Ajay Devgan

There are things that make me look up to him as his fan and that his acting, work and dedication which he archived at his own merit since his Phool Aur Kaante. He stepped down from these angry young man roles in action films and took his acting to another level by doing Zakhm, HDDCS, Thakshak, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Deewangee, Company, Lajja, Omkara, Raincoat, Gangajaal, Golmaal & ect. It's an example of how to reinvent yourself & experiment different kind of roles in vareity of genres which is some have failed to do. When people do things like that it's a sign that they respect their art as an actor.

What i don't like about Ajay is him doing films for money and friendship but he's not the only actor who's done this. Yes, he did movies like Tezz, Rascals, Himmatwala, Action Jackson which he admitted in a interview that he did films for money and will no longer do films for friendship.

He's not under the glare of the media compared to Khans, Hrithik, Akki and others nor does he attend award function. Hardly involved in controversies apart from that whole thing with KRK. Yes, there was an incident with him, Raveena & Karisma but none hold any grudges. His affairs with other heroines are false apart from Karisma Kapoor. Ajay is one of those types that doesn't go down with out a fight which is something i respect.

It's ok to idolize people in film industry or any field regards of their flaws because not everyone is perfect. As humans, people idolize things such as cars, gadgets, instruments, clothes, technology and ect which is normal.

Idolizing movie stars used to be a teenage thing, atleast that was the prevalent thinking 😆

Nothing wrong in looking for inspiration when it comes to perseverance, tenacity etc
And even fighting for them in online forums 😉 as long as it stays within limits

Nah not really. Maybe certain aspects of their lives/personality I really admire/inspire to be like and maybe idolize that one aspect, but turning a blind eye to their flaws, nah.

For example- I love PC and i am so inspired by her go-getter attitude, confidence and the fact that she has done so much. As a person, I like her hardworking attitude and want to have that attitude in my career. But that doesn't mean that if she f**cked up, I wouldnt call her out/ignore it.

I like Shahrukh's wit and confidence and charm and I like Aamir's dedication to his work and I love Kat's humility...I loved how Hritik conducted himself with grace in the whole Kangu fiasco and I love the respect Ranbir has for his seniors...I love these qualities in my favorites...I want these qualities in me...that is about it...I don't know them at a personal level to idolize them...If I had to idolize someone ...I would idolize Gandhi ji and Dr Kalam may be.
Edit: No I don't know Gandhi ji and Dr Kalam at personal level too...that is why I said may be...just wanted to clarify 😆

I cannot say that I 'idolize' a celebrity, but I do feel inspired by a few. I feel motivated by a few. I feel some are great role models.
Sushmita, for example. Adopting 2 girls and giving them an entire new life being a single mother! Damn, that's something to really look up to.

Shahrukh - His story (and I say this because I've read it all) is truly an inspiring one. Goes to show that if you put your heart and mind to what you love, nothing can get in the way of accomplishing your dreams. His story is a motivational one for sure!

Just two examples that came to my mind from the top of my head.
