EDT~ ep 30, 1.12.17, My stance. Blood smeared hands.
A wedding in the making but somehow it reeks of a bloody odour. Amidst the general revelry, much hype , much mystery, intrigue, there is also the push and shove of making the marriage happen. There also lies a mothers tears of dread for the well being of her own child! To sum it all, its a wedding photo all with captured smiles, yet smeared with splashes of blood! Someone? Somewhere? has bloody palms, unknown to the world. Safe haven for the culprit of the bloody act, till a call from the past sounds off! looms up larger than life, to fight for justice!
Warm blood ends up on Odhni hands enough to curdle her blood! she seeks answers from Shiv the tormented spirit. Seems the medium means well for Sharanya? or is it Vyom? or Shiv. To me, she has empathy for all three. The vagueness persists, as Shiv fails to oblige her by answering her questions. Yet his bleeding eyes leave her with a moral obligation she will need to fulfil . Shiv is aware Odhni being a spiritualist can discern more than ordinary people. She senses his suffering. It's Odhni, who can at this stage reiterate what Shiv is capable of doing to Vyom. The more Shiv's eyes shed tears of blood, the more terrified the spiritualist is likely to give a knee jerk reaction! For sure, Shiv is unlikely to give up on Sharanya, or his rival Vyom she is about to marry! Shiv battles Sharanya to smash the protective fortress she erects around his rival Vyom!
The blood stained hand that slaps a son that went terribly wrong in a weak moment of love! Finally, the much needed Rajan's reaction at his son's extreme action happens! A slap that convey's a father's condemnation and vulnerability at Vyom's attempted suicide. Rajan's intention is to make Vyom aware of the trauma his terribly wayward act caused his father! Seems that Rajan probably didn't think twice before smearing his hands in an another person's blood! What sinful demented love a father has for his child? His ostracizing Vyom for his action is like the blind leading the blind! Father son bonding session, is more like Vyom being interrogated by his father ,rather than can't live without you sonshine, if living is without you..
Interesting to note that Rajan bears no responsibility or accepts any forum of guilt for his misdeeds. While Vyom boasts of Sharanyas strong and pure love being enough for him as a permanent preventative measure at playing with his life again. Rajan, on the other hand , did harp on about Vyoms love for Sharanya but only to manipulate his son, never to give up Sharanya! Instead it was always about Sharanya and Vyom's so to speak love culminating in marriage ! Now while Rajan is complacent about how matters panned out eventually. He is also shrewd about some incidents that are niggling him.. to me this private one to one conversation with his son, whenever possible is really to find out why Vyom, needed to be revived? Does Rajan suspect foul play ?some mad spiritualist? Vyom fails to grasp his fathers quizzing.. and reports he was wounded, and out! so he wouldn't know why he was given the shock treatment to revive his heart? Shiv being a fly on the wall smiles knowingly ... probably muses.. with a dad like Rajan, which son needs a foe!
There is an auspicious pre nuptial function. The bride preens but strange visitations haunt her. Despite her warning, the being continues to cast shadows, he still keeps tabs on her! In a way Sharanya needs reassurance if she's taking the right step by marrying Vyom?? She maintains her stance somewhere. That she has no recollection of loving Vyom in the past.. i.e in her words, mental recall fails, but one's heart remembers.. Her brother quips, Vyom is the best man for her! Dressed as Sharanya leaves the room to be spoken for Vyom! The corner of her pallu.. slips lightly out from Shiv's pallid palm .. How he wishes he could hang on to it .. Forever occupy a corner of her heart.. Her life.
Rajan brazenly puts down Madhvi in every way. Or is it Chandni herself through spite, who wields power as the mistress of the house. For me Rajan gives her obvious preference over his wedded wife Madhvi. Chandni gives quite an insinuation in the episode that Vyom could have been there son! Do both Rajan and Chandni seek pleasure in torturing Madhvi? Everything he says to her, is belittling, lousy wife! useless mother.. distancing her son from herself! Mind you Madhvi's, drunken state is her own worst enemy.. due to her swaggering legs, it doesn't take Rajan long to suggest she needn't be there at her son's Vyom's engagement. She sure is ill an fated woman in the story to be married to a coldblooded husband like Rajan. It's odd Vyom's parents relationship passes by Sharanya as a happily married couple?
Appears that Odhni truly knows her business regards the spiritual realm.. Shiv keeps an eye on her.. while Odhni has visions of images linked to Shiv.. but the last is most alarming! a blood smeared dagger! Her resolve to alert Sharanya that Vyom's life is in danger knows no stopping!
Chandni plays mother to Vyom instead of his real mother Madhvi , conversation.. again Chandni continues to stab Madhvi emotionally.. now we discover that both Chandni and Madhvi were prospective for Rajan, and he married Madhvi instead! I liked Madhvi's reply she refers to Rajan's slyness.. he allows familiarity, but when he turns is unpredictable? He is a far more dangerous foe than a smiling friend! So really.. the man is not for real, but prone to deceive.. poor Sharanya!
Special needs of the would be groom desires his would be bride to wait ,assist, and pamper him from the car into his wheelchair! His life is a disability for him, without her love. This special night her beauty is beyond description. Vyom eyes are in awe of her grooming, his spirit boasts its all for his eyes! Vyom unlike his father has both moral and emotional scruples. As a man he seeks to assure himself that she is not only marrying himself for the sake of protecting his life from a ghost? Vyom teases her.. with some dramatic irony, that if that is a reason, then he is truly grateful to this ghost! But Vyom is a realist too, he assures Sharanya that he will stand by her, although he knows she does not love him. Vyom is also an incurable optimist! sharanya's love gives him hope.. that one day ,she too will reciprocate his love!!if not today, then on his dying day! lovely scene.. hand in hand. Both needed to come clear about the permanency of their bond.. Naught is hidden from Shiv he sees and hears all..
Odhni with the basket over her head to conceal her true identity .. is somewhat symbolic.basket case is a derogatory term used for cases of mental ill health. She reaches her destination, keen to expose all her fears before Sharanya .But no surprise the wily Rajan gets to her first!. Some more facts are revealed by a guilty Odhni, he made it look like it was Madhvi who offered her money! Odhni protests he made her wrongly accuse Madhvi, where as it was him.. that all along he lies to both his own son and Sharanya. That maligning Vyom's mother is below the belt! on top of it his own dear dad is a liar!! Poor Vyom! when he discovers the truth! well Rajan confesses he framed his wife to convince Sharanya into marrying his son Vyom!! Even this is not the whole truth! Rajan hides something far more grave! Odhni predicts, he is here! And as a father he is putting his life in danger..because he will kill him!!.. Rajan's devil may care attitude contrasts with his will die without Vyom act earlier! Shiv listens .. and then silently recites,"There will be a plan of emotions for you. There will be allegations , revolts and restrictions. There was love so far and I have forgotten that love. Now my love will be a rivalry. Hamlet53 3.12.17
Rajan feels he is safe, none knows the deadly secret he fides within himself. He on the contrary plays dumb charades with all. But Odhni just might know more than she lets on. The ceremony begins all is auspicious..till..another calamity with Vyom! is the wedding off?
