My attempt at writing a poem on Shiva-Parvati's first meeting.

Heading to a Heavenly Love

Somewhere in the mountains etched by the lord,
Painted with finesse in colors of all,
High high above where the birds couldn't crawl,
Of beauty that couldn't be put to words.

There strolled a damsel of absolute charm,
Of serene looks and an unusual calm.
Nature rose to salute the mother of the world,
Daughter of the mountain, Parvati she was called.

The lord of the lords made his way past,
The moon for a crown tethered to his curly locks,
Clad in skin and ashes smeared all over as he walked,
Eyes met and an unbreakable spell was cast.

Smitten he stood, frozen to his spot,
For the lady had just stolen his heart.
Her eyes ceased and did nothing at all,
For in insurmountable love he had forced her to fall.

"Oh venerable one, make me yours", was the word of the heart,
Yet the mouth won't let it get out,
Shyness that began to show without,
As the blooms of love had just begun to sprout.

The god of love was watching in awe,
When the attention of Mahadev was drawn in vain,
With eyes blazing in fire, the third one did wake,
He was reduced to ashes before a blink could rake.

With a temper of its kind he walked away,
The distraught princess still lost in the sway,
Decides to wed him still quite stunned,
A staunch perseverance and a love to be won.

Soo divine and perfect, just like the Ananta Shiv Parvati's jodi to whom it has been dedicated...
