Hello people!!

Here I am with another one shot on ShivIka. Hope you would like it! Do try this out to feel the acceptance!

ACCEPTANCE..!

"Where did I fail you?" He straightly asked as his voice became soft.

"Mujhse koi kami reh gayi kya?" Hurt welled up in his eyes.

"I know. I know, I'm a kind of fool in expressing what I feel. Nahi samajti mujhe yeh sab baate. But trust me, I've tried. I've changed Anika, you changed me! You brought these beautiful feelings to me. You've became the life that I want to live, with you." He paused to breathe. His shining blue eyes lined up red.

"I have tried with all my heart to make you comfortable here. All the time only thing keeps on running in my mind is what should I do that will make you smile. How can I make you feel...I'm yours! You've become everything Anika and you know that." It was so difficult to not fall for his intense gaze when he said

"Tumhe hakk hai Anika, why can't you get that!?"

She stood there still. Without any expression, she was dumbfound with no hint of any movement. She knew he was upset, so was she. Hurt curled up in his last sentence as his voice rose a bit. Unsure of what he will do, he threw a brief glance at her statuelike posture and moved out.

A small tear appeared as she closed her eyes. Their relation was as unique as they were. They were hooked together but their marriage wasn't a normal affair. A successful entrepreneur Shivay Singh Oberoy, marrying a common professional associate of his, had become talk of the town. People didn't know the reason behind the arrangement. He agreed to save her honor, while she for the sake of his name.

Shivay sat at the poolside, his favorite place to stay whenever he was disturbed or sad. A soft breeze blew as if trying to calm his turmoil a little and made drapes fly, as if to give him some company.

He clearly remembered the first time he encountered with a weird girl, who ended up at his office as the professional expert to help them out in an upcoming event. In their first task together, they performed excellently. Her pure talent and efficiency made her the professional assistant of one of the best businessman in the town.

A perfect blend of confidence and shyness existed in her. A simply beautiful young lady was a bit complicated too but she proved herself as the perfect organizer of this tough looking, arrogant, not so sensitive, workaholic person. A small smile tried to linger on his face as he reminisced how she used to call him Mr. Stone Singh Oberoy.

It was hard to believe, how these two tadibaaz handled each other so well. Be it their style of working or their ways to react to any situation, they were quite opposite. Like in a crisis, he grew silent while she blabber it out to find some peace.

As their regular fights became the routine, unknowingly, they became important part of the other's life. Their opinions started to matter, as no work was finalized unless touched by both of them. Though slowly, they started to affect each other yet the feel blooming inside was unknown. May be they were nothing close to be called friends, but the strong bond they shared was still unnamed!

He silently covered his face in palms as a memory crept in. Along with his work profile, she managed his life too, like she owned it.

"Anika! Anika!" He shouted as she came in hurry.

"Ek list check karne mein kitna time lagta hai? Kar kya rahe ho? Aise to kab tak kaam chalega? Aur woh meri blue file kaha hai? And meri woh stress wali medicine? Kaha tha na tumse...yaad dila dena...aur" He was going on when she cut in

"Billuji! Relax! Thodi saans bhi le liya kijiye! For starters, Woh list kab ki final kar ke mail bhi kar di hai. Party ka confirmation bhi aa gaya, check kar lijiye. Aur itna kaun chillata hai? Isse to stress ulta aur badhta hai. Fir bhi... aapki medicine apne drawer mein hi hai. And lunch ke baad aap le bhi chuke!" She spoke in a bit high voice to make him stop and listen to her. Putting a file on his desk, she added before leaving

"Yeh aapki file. Aap khud bhi thoda apna khayal rakha kijiye. Main Organizer hoon aapki, Biwi nahi!" She turned and left the cabin.

Anika opened her eyes as those last words echoed in her ears. It's then she realized, why it is said to choose your words wisely! She never knew how their whole lives will change. Being business associates was one thing and being partners for life, totally different.

The day they tied the knot, many things changed as he accepted her as his responsibility, while all she could feel was respect for him. Some relations are made of love, some...of responsibility, theirs were of uncertainty! They just wished the time to heal, that too soon.

Though they were yet to see each other as life partners, they did share an apartment. The whole day they spent together in office but in the house too...it was a bit uneasy. He kept on reminding himself that she was his responsibility, so he must see that she's happy.

Once post dinner, he found her at window, looking lost. How he cursed himself for not knowing what made people comfortable or what do girls talk about! But his only concern was to make her speak up and smile. So he did what he was good at. He talked business! After a while, looking at his efforts, she couldn't control as they laughed out together! He recalled her first laughter there.

A nearly perfect businessman was almost a mess back at house. It was quite difficult to differentiate between his office and apartment as it was like he breathed work, he lived work! In the process of making her feel relaxed and comfortable, he himself started smiling and living. Their mornings became perfect as his brewing hot Espresso and her kadak masala chaay started day enthusiastically. Less the office, she took the charge of apartment in her hands. Even for a small thing, he wanted her around.

"Mere socks kaha hai?" He roared in one morning. She simply came, looked at him and brought out a pair from the drawer in front of him. Meanwhile he kept on saying

"Kya haal kar ke rakha hai tumne iss apartment ka! Har cheez thikane pe rakh deti ho. Pehle sab kitni aasani se mil jaata tha...yahi kahi se! Ab to for even a pair of socks, I have to look into drawers!"

He had complained like a kid! Clearly she had cleaned and arranged the whole house. She laughed at his reaction and about to leave when he suddenly surprised her with

"Thank you Anika!" She turned a bit wide eyed. "Thank you for making this place, a Home!"

He smiled as her blushing face played in front of his eyes.

Every relation has their own set of complexities. Though they knew each other for quite a time, this emotional phase was yet to unfold. He couldn't reckon the feelings swirling inside him, while something uncertain stopped her to accept hers.

They shared work, home and now started to share each other's feelings too. He had become so frank and open that sometimes he himself got surprised that how easily he shared everything with her, somethings which he himself didn't knew he felt! How tactfully she calmed him. He felt happy to forget, he ever took any pills for stress removal! With her around, he never felt any tension could touch him. She was everything, one want in life.

But it looked; she somehow hesitated to accept it. She filled his world like she always a part of his. But somewhere she held herself back. He had always seen the girl who never thought twice before scolding him or never hesitated to show when anything was wrong. She was just the perfect guiding light, he would follow with the closed eyes. Though they were first connected professionally, her personal touch to everything, made her special.

It hurt to see such a live, jubilant girl like her, going silent. She had grew cautious with him. How she behaved or what she did, it seemed she set a consciousness alert on herself. This made him a bit heavy inside. He wanted her natural, ladaaku self back.

Until Anika entered his life, he had almost forgotten, other than work, he has a life too! A careless person like him, who barely knew, what's going on in his own heart, grew so concerned about her safety, her happiness. He was void of varieties of relations or emotions but she made him feel, there are some feelings, which just can't be escaped! He realized she was just the kind of responsibility; his heart unknowingly always longed to accept. She was that warmth, his heart would love to feel, forever!

At one of their daily night talks, he had asked her

"Kaise kar leti ho tum yeh sab? You are always there for me! Bina kuch puche, bina kuch maange..!?"

"Jaise aap itna sab kar rahe mere liye" She simply replied.

"Main kaha kuch...? You did all these... And waise bhi...tum to... umm...zimmedaari ho meri!" He reasoned looking away.

"And aap meri zindagi!!" She smiled in reflex.

He knew she was much more than just a responsibility. His heart screamed, she's life stupid, you love her! But like always, he couldn't gather the strength to confess his newly found feelings. She never before said anything like that. He feared, what if she doesn't feel for him the same way. But there he made a mistake. He was taken aback at the way her eyes shone. The moment she realized what she just said, her smile almost vanished. She stood up silently and walked out leaving him there speechless.

Her sudden step had forced him to think what's wrong. He never did anything to oblige her. Was this the thing, which kept her at bay. What was the reason that despite of all his efforts, she couldn't accept their situation, their relation or even accept him. She made him her life and he was stuck at that mere responsibility! What was that in her eyes when she accidentally said it? Why her smile disappeared? His mind bombarded with millions of uncertain thoughts. As he couldn't bear it, he reached out to her and straightly asked

"Where did I fail you!?"...

And now he was sitting alone at poolside still trying to decipher what does her silence mean.

"I'm sorry Shivay! I really am!" Her warm voice sent chills down his spine as he turned to look at her.

"Kabhi kabhi..." She slowly inhaled but his heartbeats rose with her every single letter "Life hume kuch extra de deti hai. And jab kuch expectation se zyada mil jaaye...to believe karna thoda mushkil ho jaata hai..." She stepped towards him.

"Jo thik se paaya bhi na ho, usse kho dene ke darr se mann ki himaat nahi ho paati...kadam badhaane ki! I lost my family long back, but main aapko nahi khona chahti" She put her hand on his right cheek.

"Hey..!" He whispered placing his hand on hers.

"Par shayad...ek lamha kaafi hota hai... Uss acceptance ke liye!" She wiped tear that rolled down her eyes "Aapke kehne se shayad mera who pal aaj hi aa gaya...who bhi himmat ke sath! Jo izzat, apnapan...pyaar aapne mujhe diya hai, uske liye main aapko jitna thanks kah"

"Shhh..." He placed his finger on her lips. "Bahot bolti ho tum. Sorry to main hoon, aur tum badi aayi thanks wanks kehne wali! Jab nahi bolti, to maano saanse ruka deti ho...and bolti ho tab..." He looked into her black eyes as if to convey all that he couldn't by words. He could see all the unsaid love and content there, which relieved him.

"Main to bolungi..." She winked smiling "Mujhe hakk hai Shivay...Itni jaldi bhul gaye!?"

"Haha..! Nahi Mrs. Oberoy!" He smiled wide engulfing her in his embrace "And trust me, tumhe bhi nahi bhulne dunga...!!"

Their acceptance of feelings brought them happiness. They finally found peace in each others' arms as they accepted the uncertainties, together turning them to destiny!
