Designer Anna sacked!

Singh to be replaced by Nach Baliye couples' favourite designers

After reports of the Nach Baliye couples not gelling well with Bollywood designer Anna Singh, there is another twist in the story. The couples now seem to be a happy lot after having found themselves new designers of their choice. Anna Singh says of her short experience on Nach Baliye, "there is a lot of co-ordination required on a show. Their shooting schedules lead to a considerable delay in everything. Consequently, my other projects started getting affected. I had to begin working on costumes for Sooraj Barjatya's new film Vivah, to which I had a prior commitment. I conveyed to the channel one week ago that I cannot continue with them. I gave them enough notice. Generally we work on three-four projects simultaneously. But we ended up giving too much time to Nach Baliye. I realised that since the first episode itself."

Talking about her memories on the show, she says, "I have two-three favourite couples who I miss a lot. I feel Varun-Rajeshwari and Apoorva-Shilpa are closest contenders."

So what does she feel at the end of this hullabaloo? She says, "It's okay, it was just a case of over-commitment."

This week's theme on Nach Baliye is retro remix. The couples will dance to remixed version of hit songs of yesteryears.
