A Lovely Day to Die
It's a lovely day
To hide in the sun;
To hide behind the smile
And the laughs.
The clingy clear sky
Never looked so sweet,
Like the kitten over the fence
Of my crush's house.
Endless. The sky and
My wait.
But I know better than
To ask him. Maybe, he'd
Agree but who's taking the risk?
Me neither.
I hope he sees the invisible
In the way I walk and I talk
And pine.
Do you think that's all?
Me neither.
The times I've hoped
And have had them shattered.
You'd almost think
That was my hobby-
Taking a flight
To realize I had
No Wings.
Someday, the spell will break,
He'd rush to see if I waited for him.
He'd ask me why I was gone
Once and forever.
But he would have his wife and
His own children to look after.
You think he'll match the obituary?
Me neither.
