IMO, Let's manipulate Anami is the essence of this track.
So far Sudha has succeeded quite easily by appealing to Anami's empathetic nature, playing the victim card, fanning her mistrust & hatred for Satrupa & other LM wasis.
So confident is she, she wants to replace Pagali Pandithyan in Anami's heart.đ¤˘
Satrupa watched helplessly as Anami became a puppet in Sudha's hands. Her attempts to appeal to Anami's intelligence was futile so she decided to reach her thr' emotions.Since she knows she can get nowhere emotionally with Anami, she brought Laddoo.Master stroke indeed! Madhu hates Satrupa as much as Anami does, asking her for help won't work. She has to pick the next best.
I loved the convo she had with Laddoo y'day, was straight out of a mind manipulation manual. Read somewhere, the first step a hypnotist does is to get her subject agree to series of neutral suggestions and then implant her idea.Satruppa did just that.đ
"Isn't breakfast nice?"
"Yes. But not as nice as Mom's"
"Yes. Agree nobody can cook like Mom".
"Do you get scared alone?"
"Yes".
"Anami comforts you, when you're scared?"
"Yes."
"Do you wet bed when you're scared?"
An embarrassed laddo, "Yes."
"Not to worry everybody gets scared."
Laddo is in silent agreement. He drops his guard.after his embarrassing secret came out in the open,
"Did you and Anamai catch many fraudsters in Benars?"
Proud Laddo "Yes"
"Sudha is a fraud. "She wants your Mom's place"
Doubtful Laddoo
"Anami will go away from you to"
By now Laddo is very receptive to what Satruppa is going to say next, then she says "Your Anami won't be there when you get scared next time"
Confused Laddoo .
He decides to see it for himself.
Sudha made Satrupa's work easy by pampering Anami with dahi shaker & head massage while Laddo watched from a vantage point Satrupa gave him.
Laddo is seeing what Satruppa wants him , Anami actually, to see. And that's the way we manipulate kids.
And that's why I think Satruppa's grip over Laddo will be stronger than Sudha's grip over Anami or Anami's grip over Laddoo.
I love the kid who plays Laddo, he's amazing, emotes so well in his voice too.đ
And Narayani! Was brilliant drawing a reluctant kid into conversation and giving him thoughts to ponder.đ
Don't know who's writing the dialogues, love them.đđź
Sudha's mind games don't excite me enough to write more about her. She was interesting with Naina in her Bikram & Betal type Q&As, now she's boring as any run of the mill vamp for me.
Ofc, Sangeeta continues to dazzle as an actor.
P.S- I'm gonna be busy, will respond late.
