Blake Shelton can't wait to show off his Sexiest Man Alive status to frenemy Adam Levine.
The news is true; Blake Shelton has been honoured with the title of People's Sexiest Man Alive.
The country singer took to his Instagram page to share the cover with a witty caption.
Blake's caption reads as, "Thank you @people!!!! Don't hate me because I'm beautiful..."
People's official Instagram handle also shared the cover with a caption that reads as, "#BlakeShelton is this year's #SexiestManAlive! And most importantly, he 'can't wait' to stick it to his fellow #TheVoice judge (and former SMA) #AdamLevine."
When the magazine asked Blake for his reaction on being crowned as the SMA 2017, he revealed, "That y'all must be running out of people. Like, Wow, we're down to somebody who is somewhat symmetrical. That must be all you had left to look for."
"I think to describe myself as a child, one word comes to mind. And that's fat. People say I haven't changed since before I made it. And I'm still fat today. That's proof," Blake told the magazine.
Blake also said that it was his girlfriend Gwen Stefani who told him to embrace the title and said, "She goes, Listen to me, you're going to regret this for the rest of your life if you don't take this gift and just live in the moment."
What is the best part of being the Sexiest Man Alive? Well, for Blake it is showing off to his frenemy, Adam Levine who was crowned SMA in 2013. Blake said, "I can't wait to shove this up Adam's ass. As proud as I am and honored that you guys asked me, that's really the only thing I care about."
"When [people] would say to Adam, Mr. Sexy,' you'd always see him go, Well, awww...' If you say that to me, it's going to be, You're damn right, I'm Mr. Sexy! I've been ugly my whole life, if I can be sexy for a year, I'm taking it. I'm taking it," Blake continued.
Earlier, Gwen was told that there were rumours going rife of Blake being named as the SMA 2017. To that, the singer exclaimed, "What? Oh my god, well they got that right! Wow, I knew I was on to something. Wow, I'm gonna look really good huh? I already had scored but now I really scored."
