Raman after all this remembers Shagun as his wife. Because he married Shagun with a lot of expectations, in his early twenties. Shagun betrayed him and he got into a marriage with Ishita without any hope/expectation. But when did try to expect something again out of this relationship, he's been deluded each and every time. That got stuck in his mind over time and he recalls the image of Shagun as his wife though he also recalls Ishita as his wife as well.
That's because in his most lucid subconscious state (as he is now due to partial memory loss), he can not differentiate between Ishita and Shagun because of their similar end treatments towards him. Though they have their own justifications (for Shagun, it's her right to live the way she wants and for Ishita, presenting herself as some sort of sacrificial lamb), their end actions made them kindred in the subconscious mind of Raman Kumar Bhalla.
