Gupta's were not originally of Uttarakhand state as they are neither Kumaunis nor Garhwalis.

Guptas are from Uttar Pradesh.

Sindhis are people who speak Sindhi, the language. They can be Hindu, Muslim or Sikhs. Sindhi surnames usually end in an -ani. Dadlani, Bijlani, Tejwani etc.

Parsis are a community that migrated from Persia to India. They speak Parsi and are usually Zoroastrians. Their surnames end with -wala. Lakadwala, Daruwala, Soonawala.

basically jagah k hisab se logo bulata hain like gujrati, Punjabi, south indian

Raghav juyal is Garhwali so his lineage is of the state. While Anushka's Mom is a gharwali and Dad is from UP.

All Kolkatans are not Bengalis and not all Bengalis are Kolkatans. Similarly all Mumbaikars are not Marathis.

Bengalis , Marathis , Punjabis , Sindhis etc are linguistic communities. Caste again is a different thing.

Not necessarily some Gupta's like me have an origin from Haryana so there is no basic state we associate ourselves with like Sindhi people associate themselves by saying they were originally from Sindh so jis state mein rehte hai usi ke ho jaate hai 😆 so now I live in Punjab so I am a Punjabi
