I treated Haasil as my first show: Siddharth Malhotra

Siddharth Malhotra talks about his show Haasil

There are some personalities who exude an aura of genial amiability, reflecting the core values of integrity and humaneness.

One such good soul is Siddharth Malhotra, the maverick storyteller (filmmaker/producer) who is marking a new territory in the Indian television content space by weaving intriguing shows under his banner Alchemy Films.

His latest awe-inspiring extravaganza is classy, chic, drama dipped serial, Haasil on Sony TV.

"I treated Haasil as my first show. The entire series has been scripted meticulously. I want to thank Danish Khan and Ashish (Golwalkar) from Sony for showing faith, says Siddharth to IndianWikiMedia.

The show has a larger than life look, thus is shot majorly in outdoor locations. Talking more about the project Siddharth avers: "When we wrote the story and thought about the casting, the first name that came to my mind for Ranvir's role was Zayed. I am waiting for the world to see what they say about Zayed and I feel this venture will be a victory for us and Zayed too. I am very confident about my product. I am not overconfident. I can say it is not a bad show. I am personally involved in the execution, so I will take all credits and criticism in my stride pertaining to Haasil. We hope for the best.

Well, maturity is synonymous with Siddharth.

IndianWikiMedia wishes him luck and success.

TFS! The show is good. But it could be better. They need to tone down some of the theatrics, like Kabir yelling at Police when they were interrogating Ranvir, or Ranvir giving 1 Crore and a flat to his employee's and them signing "Ranvir is our God". Or the scene where Sarika gets the power cut to the whole city.

It seems Sarika and Kabir think that Ranvir can do no wrong. They are both delusional! I think they need to tone down some of these theatrics and the show will be better. Also as a Lawyer Anchal just relying on circumstantial evidence like the "Back of someone" to suggest that RR is the killer is again unconvincing.

They need to work on these issues, but as an "Overall Product" Haasil has a great pull factor and is interesting and glossy enough to keep people coming back. I am liking the performance of all the leads so far. Even the supporting cast is adequate. Vatsal's work I have never seen, and he's growing on me. He's charming. Nicky I saw in EDKV and Zayed in a few of his earlier BW movies. I hardly watch BW now. Haasil is good, but can be better! Good on Sony for continuing to push the boundaries and trying new concepts.

Reporters was my first Sony show and since then I watched Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, EDKV, Beyhadh and now Haasil. So clearly their content is better and more interesting than other channels. Appeals to the overseas audience more I think.
