Maddening Lack Of Continuity

Maybe I'm just nitpicking cos overall I'm thoroughly enjoying the show but the lack of continuity on this show is starting to irritate me. It started on the Suhaag Raat night. Most of us are still wondering what happened after Ranbir started to slowly advance towards Kanya by the window. It makes me think they missed an episode. Then after the huge hoopla Ranbir created with the honeymoon, the subject was just dropped. Yes, he went and apologised to Kanya but we didn't get to see his showdown with Mallika and the honeymoon was never mentioned again, along with the party they were supposed to have immediately after their wedding. Now another party is on the cards but this one is being arranged by the Nanda kids instead of Mallika & Big D as originally mentioned. A huge scene was made out of Ranbir & Kanya having to share a room, to the extent of posting guards outside the door. But in today's episode Kanya was back in the guest room with Shanta. Then there is the money issue, it would have been nice to see a scene where Ranbir actually explain his plan to Kanya & Shanta before we saw them put it into action.

The show is turning out to be full of discarded storylines or unexplained scenes or no proper follow through on certain plots. Maybe the writers just keep on having such great, new ideas that they quickly lose interest in the old one. 😕 Though that will be a definite first for BT. Usually they hit upon one ridiculous storyline and drag it out to excruciating lengths.

i totally agree with you scenes are left imcomplete.. at times, the show seems lacking.. w/o resolving one issue they jump into another 1.

Totally agree. It's annoying! I am still wondering what happened when Ranbir was walking toward Kanya on the wedding night. And what happened to the honeymoon?????? Where did Big D and Astha dissapear to? How did pooja become the head...so annoying.

@Blackcurrent its excruciatingly painful to watch the inconsistencies of this show... so i dont think your nickpicking at alll.. i think its really saad that the BT writers think soo less of their viewers memory that by just showing a couple of romantic scenes that the veiwers will get distracted and bang forget about where they left out... hell heres a blooper i'm still upset about and that is i swear on Tues at the breakfast table the kids were eating quickly cause the had preperations to do for the party tonite. and on wed's eppy they just showed everyone sleeping nooo partyyyyy... so i guess where suppose to just leave our brains in sleep mode when watchin this show..

For once many are of the same opinion as me. It is just crazy the way it is being projected. Actually the storyline is good and can me made into a very good serial.
For once we are getting to see some soap other than Saans bahu and it can be turned into a romantic one and not a comedy show.
I hope they let Kanya wear better dresses int he bed room atleast

Yeah! I agree, there are way too many inconsistencies here...one of the first ones being not showing Ranbir's reaction to Mallika's news that Kanya's dad had agreed to the marriage. I, for one, felt cheated.

The ones you've listed leave me even more cheated...but, hey..I'm not complaining...every episode is a hoot even the one that showed Aditiya biting on the banana in that manic way! Loved yesterday's episode specially as it proved a very imp point to me...that a serial doesn't need the male/female lead to keep the interest going...unlike Kayamath!

I didn't miss Ranbir at all...i didn't even realise he wasn't there till the episode ended! Everyone in this show has a definite characterization...so they can carry an episode on their individual shoulders...even the thief was so good...frightened of his own shadow!!!
